Symphonies Nos. 6 and 7 in Full Score (Dover Orchestral Music Scores)

Very glad to add these last two symphonies of Sibelius to my library of orchestral scores.

I had to order this twice after returning the first one in which the pages and gatherings were completely out of order from the very start of Symphony No. 6 which started on page 34! I returned that and got a second one which is blessedly correct throughout. First experience 1 star, 2nd try 5 so I'm giving this four. If you order, check the pagination on receipt!

I play horn in a community orchestra. I find it helpful to buy one of these when we are learning a particularly challenging symphony. It helps me see how all the parts fit together and allows me to better mesh with whole. Highly recommend.

Good printing of standard lit that everyone should know.

This is a great collection of the Dvorak Symphonies, there are much better editions out there but for the price these are a good buy!

although his ninth symphony was probably the most anticipated, his seventh is probably the most highly regarded of his symphonies. it is full of the angst that consumed him at the time of its inception...

These generous sized Dover editions much easier to work with than standard study scores, everything is crisply reproduced, the paper is good quality, and they do open nice and flat. The 6th Symphony is better laid out, with the orchestral sections separated by spaces and all the staves clearly labelled - not so in the 7th but this is not Dover's fault, the original publisher must have preferred it that way.

It has very clear print which is easy to read from a distance which is what is needed when conducting. I use it instead of the score that comes with the set of parts because it is clean and new and only has my markings on it, instead of 30 previous conductors!It does not lie as flat as I would like but in time I'm sure it will.

Este libro ya nos comentaron que tardaría bastantes días para llegar a nosotros.Y llegó cuatro o cinco dias antesde lo previsto.El problema era que lo mandaban desde Estados Unidos.El libro llegó en perfectas condiciones y mi hijo,que es el que lo utiliza dice que está muy contento con élpues es exactamente lo que pidió.

Dover ne précise pas ici quelles sont les éditions réimprimées, mais le résultat est tout à fait convaincant. Il était jusqu'alors impossible de trouver les symphonies 6&7 de Sibelius à un prix raisonnable.Sans hésitation si vous aimez sa musique.
