Not sure where this is supposed to go
Bought this thinking that I would find one in my LG Gas Dryer. None present, at least that I could find, so ended up not using it. There were a couple that looked like it, but that were installed on a mounting bracket. One had a reset switch that must be pressed in to reset the thermostat before it will become operational again. Don't forget to press the white button.

A Lot of Disassembly Required
This sensor is located in the blower housing discharge. There is also a thermistor located next to this sensor as shown in the photo. You should replace both while you are at it. To replace these sensors requires removing the drum. I recommend that when you have the dryer taken apart, you replace the drum seals and drive belt.My dryer has been in use for over 12 years and there was a lot of lint inside the cabinet that needs to be removed.Also, take the time to disassemble the blower housing and thoroughly clean blower housing and wheel to remove the accumulation of lint and dryer sheet wax.

It works.
I bought a used LG dryer. When I got it home And hooked it up it would only run for 15 minutes before tripping the high limit thermostat. I didn’t think it could be anything serious so I decided to just fix it. Glad I did. While I had it apart I replaced all three thermostats and thermistor. Also there was tons of lint buildup so I’m glad I took it apart because with so much lint there’s always a risk of fire. Cleaned it thoroughly and now it works like it should. Be sure to buy only LG parts. I made the mistake of purchasing some cheap offbrand’s and they weren’t identical to the parts I was replacing so I didn’t use them. Luckily they were cheap enough to where I didn’t have to bother returning them. Just glad To see the dryer working. Good luck.

I ordered this thermostat, a high-limit thermostat, and a thermistor and I'm not exactly sure which of the 3 actually fixed my Lg Dryer model DLEX8377NM but it's working just as good as new! There are YouTube videos that explain step by step how to replace all 3 of these parts. It took a little over 2 hrs to complete but this was also my 1st time taking apart a dryer too. The more experienced DIYer could probably do it quicker. I did just replace the thermistor at 1st and that didn't fix it but after I ordered the other 2 parts and replaced those it works great now!
