Alan Oken's Complete Astrology: The Classic Guide to Modern Astrology

Couldn't put this book down

I've purchased this book to replace the copy I lost in a flood. I admire Mr. Oaken's books, and for those who study astrology, this is a great one. One area topical at present is the transition from Pisces to The Aquarian Age. Pisces, the fish, symbol of Christianity with co-ruler Virgo, the Vigin, to Aquarius, ruler Uranus, co ruler Leo. Very clear, very informative.

Alan Oken’s Complete Astrology is just that….It’s one of the greats.

I recommend this book. However will be reselling it to buy the ebook. The type font is unbelievable difficult to read. Hence the 4 stars. Other than that no complains.

I have had and used this book for over 30 years. It taught me to set up and chart and learn all the basics of interpretations. The interpretations are much more accurate than many books that only dwell on the obvious. The last book bought was the 3rd one I have bought through the years. I wore out the first, gave the second, very much used one, to my daughter, and recently bought this last one. Excellent book.

I was very impressed with this book and many of the biblical references as well. This is a very unique read and was not expected a lot more content. This is a must have for anyone interested in the astrology and the bible as well. It came in excellent condition.

If you want to understand the true meaning of Astrology, you just found it! I have studied, observed and practiced Astrology for almost 50 years and this is a definitive work in learning the breadth and width that Astrology has to offer to human development and interaction with others. The printing of my copy from 1988 is excellent. Wore out my 1st edition 1976 when I started my studies. As above so below

I didn't find this book at all exceptional in any way . I made the mistake of finally buying it on kindle . Wasted $ .

I have only recently taken an interest in astrology, and after looking at a "coffee table" book on astrology and the planets i knew i have to find out more. Oken's Complete Astrology is the perfect guide for anyone that wishes to take astrology that one step further than most. Quotes and footnotes throughout the edited text are wonders to be seen, in that "occult" writers actually know what footnotes are and how they are to be used effectively!I read through the text, underline important parts and phrases in pencil, and then write my own notes from the text into my "astro-folder".Oken treats the reader like educated and intelligent people who want to further their studies into this great art, science, and philosophy.The text can seem like a doorstop, but it is 3 books in one concise volume, and isnt difficult to work with once you break the spine (dont you just hate breakin the spines!)A wonderful work for anyone that has a brain and is interested in finding out more about astrology.Other authors i would recommend are Arroyo, Marks and Tompkins!

I really like this book. Oken does such a good job of delineating each zodiac sign's essential characteristics into one succinct and pithy notion and then goes on to deliver many other great insights. well worth it
