Flawless music but DVD could have been better
I can't give this less than 5 stars as the CDs are truly awesome. They are both masterpieces, and I guess you already know what you are in for when listening to the intros. I attended the Made In Germany tour at the O2, and can confidently say that this production was a perfect 10, so if Rammstein picked Paris as the best night, then who am I to argue.Rammstein have set the bar with their live performances, and watching this DVD, it is evident they have so many good songs and stage theatrics in their locker. If you watch a gig and sometimes wonder if it might be getting a bit flat - you do not get that with Rammstein. They walk off stage leaving their audience stunned, a feeling the same audience will hold for the next few days. It's a bit like that with the DVD, but are you going to hit the rewind button? The problem I have is with the production of the DVD. I have nothing against multiple camera angles, or close ups, but do they need to change the view every few seconds (or every second) in some cases. Then there is the slow motion - it is not in time with the music. The slow mo bits feel like you are having some sort of seizure. The concert was perfection as it was, this over-editing sort of ruined it a tad IMHO. Did anyone else attending the Made In Germany tour think that? I mean, you don't fly into different seats of the arena every 1-2 seconds, having some sort of out of body experience, whilst your vision slows up and down (or was the production supposed to simulate the experience of a Rammstein concert on Ketamine).

this live gig shows Rammstein at their absolute best. Almost a greatest hits (sic) live
Probably one of the most successful cult bands ever, this live gig shows Rammstein at their absolute best. Almost a greatest hits (sic) live, they cover all of their career so far. There are a couple of tracks from their distant past on here, tracks they haven't done live for a long time. Got to say 10 out of 10 to them for that. So many bands have a couple of decent tunes to their name and tend to live off past glories. No chance of that here. Older tracks sit well with the most recent making this one very enjoyable concert to watch. Stage lighting and pyrotechnics aplenty (would you expect anything else?) matched with a band that know how to play to a crowd and keep them entertained, a perfect match. I would pay to see Rammstein without all this, so when it comes to great music with great visuals, perhaps only Iron Maiden's stage set can get near them. Having seen both bands live and been a long time fan of both, I think I can speak quite confidently on this. Messrs Lindemann, Kruspe, Landers, Riedel, Schneider and Lorenz I salute you!! Just buy this DVD/Blu ray.

Rammsteinn!!!!!!!
I go to a lot of gigs and have seen the big ones over last few years (Maiden, Muse, Metallica U2,RHCP, Killers to name a few). All have excellent shows and music and I had thought I’d seen it all. Then I played this........to say I’ve not seen anything like this before is putting it mildly. A show? an event? A cremation? (nearly).A pure triumph - definitely!!Take Alice Cooper and imagine him 50 years into the future and maybe your about there. Quite possibly one of the most ambitious spectacles ever seen ...think firing large multiple flame throwers at your keyboard player won’t be matched at an arena near you very soon. Neither will setting him alight.....completely crazy and off the scale in terms of show. The music is of superb quality too with Til an incredibly strong frontman. Production superb and well worth the money. Just don’t play in front of family (especially elderly) or they’ll be ringing up the white coat brigade on your behalf. Otherwise great for a quiet night in and loving company ( file for divorce to follow shortly after). Rammstein zer gut!!!!!

Rammstein 100% but no comparison to Volkerball.
Rammstein's performance can't be faulted but for those who have seen Volkerball it is nowhere near as good due to the way it has been filmed/produced. There are unnecessary slow motion shots & a black & white filter used for crowd shots where you can't see a thing. The camera moves way too fast to see much of anything. When you watch a live gig you want to feel like you're there you don't need fancy production or visual effects to enhance it. So to summarise Rammstein are faultless as always but don't expect the same visuals as Volkerball hence the four star rating.

Grab a copy while you can!
Absolutely amazing! Box opens to reveal LPs, DVD and CDs. The sleeve notes are on the inside of the box. The photography of the band is great - not like some bands where just the singer is focused on and everyone else is in the background. The DVD is amazing I can honestly say I can’t wait to watch it again. The only problem with that is you can’t “unwatch” what you’ve watched so I’m trying to wait for a reasonable amount of time to see it again! Highly recommended!

Superb Quality. Recommended.
It's Rammstein live in Paris. No great shocks here, I had no doubts that this would be a superb quality release. The music on vinyl/CD is awesome as is the Blu-Ray live performance - won't harp on about that, you know what to expect! All beautifully packaged in the 12" box which just has quality written all over it. Not cheap at £59.99, but glad I shelled out for it - it's a really nice tactile thing to look at and own which I will get a lot of enjoyment out of!
