Inflatable Floating Dock Inflatable Swim Platform Water Lounge

I gave this only 3 stars because it's no good for my intended use as a floating dock. I think of a dock as something that you can sit or stand on and fish from without getting wet. Unless there are no waves on your lake, and you sit very still, you will probably get wet while using this inflatable swim platform. If you're not careful, you may even end up in the drink. On my lake, the waves from just about any nearby boat will often roll over the top of this inflatable platform. And, when the top gets wet, it is extremely slick - like trying to walk on polished ice. Add to that the fact that the platform is relatively light (50 lbs) and it tends to shift in the opposite direction that you try to move, and wham, you're on your butt, or hands and knees, if not in the water altogether. My SUP is easier to walk on than this because the SUP has a dense foam padding on top that istn't so slick and a fin on the bottom that keeps the SUP from shifting side to side. My kid suggested putting an outdoor rug on the platform so it wouldn't be so slick, but we never tried it.As a swim platform, if you want to get wet and in and out of the water, the platform is great. I live on a lake in western Washington. I bought this in mid August, inflated it to about 8 pounds, and tied it to three pilings off the end of my pier using 3 of the 4 D-Rings on the bottom. I left it there for 4-5 weeks, just pulled it in, wiped it down and inspected it and it still looks as good as it did when I pulled it out of the box. It inflates firmly, doesn't sag or bulge when you walk on it, and that didn't change after remaining in the water for 4-5 weeks exposed to the elements and light use. As a swim platform, the kids love it. And it's durable enough that with reasonable care, I'm sure it will last many years.
