Excellent beginner Kukri knife. The blade has held up to chopping kindling to start a camp fire. The handle is beautiful and the knife feels balanced in the hand. It does have enough heft on the blade to make cutting wood straightforward. The videos showing this knife cutting fish and vegetables are a joke. Kukri knives are meant for bushcraft and chopping bones of animals or chopping wood. You don't need this behemoth of a knife to cut a mango or fish.As others have said the sheath is very very cheap. If you sharpen the knife and pull the knife out with enough force, the sheath itself will be cut open. It's made of a very thin faux leather that will probably not last 2 seasons of camping.However, I didn't get this knife for its sheath but the blade. The blade has not chipped with hardwoods like oak. It made quick work of soft pine. Cutting scrap big box boards was also not a problem for this knife. The knife's edge is maintained with such light use.

The media could not be loaded. I love this product very much. It is sharp, shiney with forge metals that is rust resistant. Is is also easy to hold and heavy enough to balance and cut through decent size twigs. I normally use it for camping and for butchering, but can be use for multi-purpose function. I would love to buy another one for my father for same amount of money as it can be a great gift for anybody.

I've used it for several weeks now, and the sharpness has held up well. However, I do wish the handle was a bit more durable.Overall, I'd give this knife 5 stars out of 5. It's a great addition to my kitchen, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality sharp knife.
