Great for cutting overhead branches
I'd never used a pole saw before but needed to get one due to the trees getting out of hand. Was worried that Amazon delivery van wouldn't be able to get down the lane!!Bought this as it was a good price and also that I have Greenworks batteries from my other two Greenworks devices- a lawnmower and blower.Simple to put together, add a little oil as lubrication for the chain, plug in the battery and get to workIt made short work of the branches and job actually took less time than I though it would.Device itself is sturdy and has a 3 year warranty. My other Greenworks devices are still going strong after a number of years so expect this to be as well built.Overall I'm very happy with it, does the job and saves me time.

Generally good but could be better
The instructions as with most things these days leave much to be desired, and why printed SO small? The saw itself is easy to assemble and use although I've not needed to use with the extra extension yet which I suspect will make it a little more awkward. My two main gripes, why pack with no chain oil, just a small bottle to set up and try would be good. Especially as I put it together on a Sunday morning to cut a few branches and in the end had to do by hand.I understand the need to hit a price point but the battery supplied as the popular standard option (2A?) really isn't sufficient to get any proper use from a tool like this.Generally though I'm very pleased with the use and quality.

Newer battery doesn't fit older Greenworks tools.
Really great! does exactly what it says. Super easy to put together and dismantle for storage (although a storage bag would be good to keep it all together) fairly lightweight and easy to use. Battery lasts much longer than expected, 25 mins of Sawing Leylandii and there was still battery life, impressive! My only complaint is that the newer style battery doesn't work with older Greenworks tools, but I will take that because of the longer life newer battery. All in all, a great Saw, takes on most Garden Sawing jobs easily. Im happy with it.

useful product
It has a good reach. However I didnot test the product.I took apart the chain and then wished I hadnt as I could not work out how to reassemble it.The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The manuals have minute writing . The basic instruction that I could read was very minimal. When I contacted product support I was put through to a call centre, but I could not understand what was ssid. A shame really as the product looked OK.

Great value
A great value product, and cuts through logs easily. It's a lot lighter than a petrol chainsaw, and doesn't have the hazard of a plug in chainsaw with the wire. As a note, you'll need two 24v batteries to run it (either 2AH or 4AH) .The kickback guard feels a little flimsy, but until it's too late it is impossible to test this, I'd trust it, but only just.In summary good if you want to cut up some logs or light tree felling from time to time, but probably not appropriate if you plan on cutting multiple large trees as the battery runs out and takes hours to recharge.Choose the right tool for the job - this is great for light, infrequent work which would be too onerous to cut by hand.

Good medium sized chainsaw
Wanted a battery chainsaw to collect wood for log burner.Went for this one as it is a proper chainsaw.Chain speed is high so it cuts really well and quickly. The oiler took about 2minutes to prime with oil without chain attached. So make sure you do that first use.Easy to fit chain and bar. There are several youtube videos to help if you need.Batterys take 2.5 hours to charge.Chainsaw did 18 cuts of a trunk before needing to be recharged. See picture. It did 16 cuts effortlessly, the last two were a bit laboured. The chainsaw is light and easy to use with a 30cm bar. It is great for home firewood up to 30cm . If you want to chop down large trees, then you will need something bigger.

I havent managed to get it to work yet!
I struggled to put it together when i got it, its quite heavy and because of its length its a bit unweildy. Because of personal reasons i was unable to try it out until this summer. Firstly the oil wouldnt flow down into the chamber, even when i checked there wasnt an air lock. So the oil spilt over the paving stones. Im glad i didnt do it inside the house. I had to get someone else to join the sectiong together because they were so stiff. We had to use a Boa gadget to grip the poles in order to tighten them. No quick fix. Then i tried adding the battery, which i had already charged up. Nothing, not a flicker, no sign of electricity flowing. I ried to charge the battery a bit more in case it had gone flat. Nothing, no lights to show anything was workin. Because nothing was working. Neither charger nor battery. I cant see a trio switch or anything and i tried different sockets. But it just doesnt work. Then i tried looking online for my receipts, but my internet connection was down. And so its gone on! So ive no idea if its good at what it does, but its certainly very heavy !
