This is the perfect LED grow light for a small space such as a closet or corner of a room. It’s bright enough to start a few trays of seedlings or grow one plant to full size. With only two fans, its very quiet, yet it remains cool which is the most important factor in LED longevity. It’s very sturdy and you can tell its high quality the moment you unpack it.As a 1000W equivalent model it’s quite bright, but only draws 0.37A in VEG mode, 0.95A in BLOOM mode, and 1.3A in VEG+BLOOM mode. That works out to about 150W when running at full power and has the equivalent plant growing capacity of a 1000W HID lamp. This is in part due to LED efficiency (much-much less heat generated) and in part due to specific wavelengths that plants utilize most being emitted. The VEG mode is slightly pink and the BLOOM mode is absolutely red. The UV and IR LEDs are a great addition because the natural light of the sun exposes plants to these wavelengths as well as to visible light and triggers growth responses in the plants that red/blue LEDs alone wouldn’t.This light now comes with a tempered glass protective LED covering and remains cool to the touch even when running at full power. The lights can be daisy chained if necessary, but the selling point of this light is certainly it’s compact size. I have this small 1000W equivalent LED grow light hanging in my kitchen and I use it to grow herbs while illuminating the room at the same time.The light comes with a high quality 4 point hanging cable harness and an adjustable nylon cord with carabiners on each end to position the light just above the plants. If you happen to need to use a voltage other than 120VAC, you can use any standard DTOL cord and supply any standard AC line voltage.There was a time when LEDs came out and began to compete with CFLs, then came the dual chip LED, and now the triple chip LED. Light came in the two day delivery, well packaged,plug and play ready. My mother loves to grow fruit and veg indoor, and I am glad she likes it,so I brought this before her brithday as a gift for my mother .She watches the growth of plants every day.her seeds germinated rather quickly; of course they were sitting on a heated pad,It took an amazing one weeks to double the siz, Plants seem to enjoy them so farI noticed a significant amount of growth in seven days, everything is looking beautiful and more tropical.My clones loved this light on 16 hrs. Then switched to 16 to grow to half the size of my tent. Once there, which did not take long I moved to 12-12 to send into flowering!! Then the buds started to get close,and I will be harvesting soon. Love this light!!! I used as is, no dimmer. First batch looking great. Can't wait to see it in another two months.I highly reccoment this model, despite its lack of an extra outlet to daisy chain.Also, its will only pull about 180W, not really as much as its claim to fame.So in the end, you can get this very functional and affordable LED, or pay 3 times more and get better performance.-Well packaged and arrived with no scratches-3PCS 5Watt diodes competitors still using double diodes-Low power consumption not more than 180 watts-Two fans not very noise for moving as much air as they do-The grow light very bright but with low temperature will not hurting plantsSo great product should be recommend to more people.

Liked the light was a good aditanal light to boost flower but just over a year old and the veg side of the light burnt out bad LEDs in mine would like some replacement parts would be nice or just a new board rest of the light works

This iPlantop light is an amazing value. It is a top quality light at a low price. It is better than lights that cost over twice as much.This light is very energy efficient, providing a LOT of light at a low operating cost. The iPlantop triple chip design is more efficient than the double chip design that other light companies use.The light spectrum is very good, and will definitely make your plants grow and flower. The red spectrum is definitely sufficient for flowering.It comes with two switches, one for vegetative growth (heavy in the blue light,) and one for flowering (heavy in the red spectrum. For vegetative growth I just run just the veg (blue) switch, which saves even more electricity and money. For flowering I have both switches on for maximum light and spectrum.The board the LEDs are mounted on is perforated, which allows air from the fan to circulate around the LEDs to keep them cooler and makes the light safer. This is a very clever design that other light manufacturers do not use. This light runs much, much cooler than the High Pressure Sodium light I used to use and it uses far less electricity.The iPlantop customer service is also outstanding. They answered my questions right away.This light also comes with a 3 year warranty.The IPlantop light is the best bang for the buck.
