Very thorough book on analysis. I do think it needs more code and examples.

From authors of: "Real-Time Systems and Programming Languages: Ada, Real-Time Java and C..."
The authors decided to focus in on one programming language in this book: Ada -- a language ideally suited to constructing real-time systems. The previous book (which is no longer available) was the recommended text for the Canadian professional engineering licensing exam in real-time systems. This new book is a fully updated version of that text by the same two authors. Not sure if it will still be the recommended text going forward or not.My biggest gripe is that the book contains NO EXERCISE QUESTIONS of any kind. Students need exercise questions (with answers) to reinforce the material being presented. The book is also somewhat light on real-time theory (150 pages) and heavy on implementation (the rest of the 500 page textbook). Much of the book is how to program in Ada, which may or may not be applicable to your course in real-time systems. The book also has quite a few typos but is generally well written and easy to understand. Simple black and white printing and a reasonable price. This is a great RTS book if you want to learn this subject.
