Doctor Hetzner 300-Watt Blender with Travel Lid, Single Serve, For Shakes & Smoothies (White)

I purchased my Doctor Hetzner a few weeks ago and have used everyday since. Very powerful little blender that is easy to travel with and comes with a simple to use drinking lid for the blender bottle.Overall this is the best purchase I have made in a while.

Pros: Love that is lightweight but super powerful; easy to clean and store...not too many moving parts!Con: opening is at base..unable to add fruits to the top while blending...Too soon to speak on durability long term will follow up after 3 months!

I have only used this blender once but was surprised at how powerful it is at crushing ice. I thought it would only be able to do fresh fruits and veggies b/c it is so small but works very well and blending ice and frozen fruit. Super easy to use and the base clicks when the blender is properly in place. Love having the lid so I can make my smoothie and take in the car. Happily surprised with this purchase so far, and hopefully it will stand the test of time.UPDATE: just had to throw this out as the motor burned out very quickly. We attribute this to the too narrow shape of the plastic canister which really needs to be wider at the bottom not the same shape all the way down. We did a full year and a half frequent usage out of it but with a lot of cussing as we constantly had to pull it off the motor, open the lid, stir, shake, shimmy, and try again. I should have used this several more time prior to writing the review as it is tough to make smoothies with frozen fruit using this blender.

I had bought another product from this company - a food vacuum and sealer, which I think is very good for our family's needs. With respect to Dr. Hetzner blender: I actually got the black one, which I like very much. The appliance looks slick and elegant. The jar is made of plastic, hence one must be very careful not to put very hot items in it. It is graded on the side so that the contents can be measured. It comes with a vey slick top, which one can screw on after blending is done, which also has a loop so it can be hooked (say on your backpack) or easily held in hand. Blending was perfect and fast. The only small drawback is that I found it a little noisy. I wish it were a little less so. This, however, may be just a matter of personal perception. My primary blender is a big Waring blender, which I bought approximately 20 years ago, but it is not portable. Dr. Hetzner is a good, secondary blender to have, for smaller jobs at home, quite compact, can packed it in a suitcase when traveling, or kept at office. So, I give this product 5 stars for "value for the money". This product is not operated by a battery, so I cannot assign any star on that category.

Make daily protein shakes, plan on using this for travel. Was impressed with the power of it. Motor has a bit of a smell but thinking it will dissipate with use.....and it did!

When I removed this item from the box I was quite impressed with how sleek and ergonomic it was and to be a little honest was a bit concerned that it might be more cosmetic in nature rather than a kitchen equipment enhancement. Our first test was a strawberry sundae; ice cream right out of the fridge, good size chunks of strawberry, milk and vanilla. I liked that the blender had to be locked (large click) into place and I marvelled at how quiet the motor was while chopping, mincing and blending the ingredients in a matter of a couple of minutes. The results were amazing. Looking forward to see what time saving tasks this little blender can perform. PS the strawberry shake was delicious!

This was my second Dr. Hetzner blender. The first one I loved and was able to blend frozen fruit easily. It lasted two years when I noticed the burning smell and I stopped using it and bought a new one. This 300 power bogs down with frozen fruit and smells hot if I dont keep shutting it off. I love the size and easy use, but the motor doesn't last that long.

This is amazing! I bought this product 2+ years ago as I LOVE making smoothies, but didn't want a cumbersome blender. This is absolutely perfect--the size, the strength, the durability and the ability to clean afterwards. I made ALL kinds of smoothies in this - banana/peanut butter, berry banana, avocado, etc. -- and it has endured past everything. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!
