I'm new to smoking food and this was my first purchase of wood chips. I couldn't be happier with my choice. The flavor these chips give off are amazing. I soaked them in water before throwing them in my smoker and they last for hours giving off a clean steady smoke. No bitterness or burnt taste but a solid clean barbeque flavor. The smoke flavor is rich and adds so much to the dishes I've cooked. So much better than liquid smoke or other fake alternatives. Cherry has been our favorite so far.

Excellent product. Used the alder wood for smoking salmon. It was outrageously good. You could even just see the color of the wood looked good (which, I know, makes no sense... how do wood chips look good quality and fresh?!? It just did!)The chips are a little smaller than the Weber ones I usually buy. At first I thought I would burn through the pack really quickly. But, it seemed more efficient somehow- didn’t need as much. It fit nicely into my electric smoker (Masterbuilt 130).Also liked that they have alder wood in the pack. That seems hard to find. Intrigued to try oak out as well.Would definitely recommend and will buy again. If you’re in doubt, give it a go.

I love the variety of wood used. There is something for every possible smoker recipe.

The chips are extremely small so they release smoke quickly but burn out quickly too, definitely would only recommend these for electric smokers. Great little sample pack for the beginner but once you get started I would recommend getting larger bags with larger chips of whatever wood you enjoyed most. I have no idea where the E-book is and there are no instructions in the box about where to access it. All and all this is a one and done purchase for me.

I ordered these to go in my new small smoking 'tin' to put on my gas grill. Filled up the metal smoking box and placed it on the grill, the wood chips caught fire quickly and put out a lot of smoke with a great flavor when smoking chicken wings. My only complaint would be that due to the size of the chips (really small) they burned up really quickly and I ended up using an entire bag (refilling twice) to keep the smoke going over a 40 min period. This is perhaps the nature of the beast when taking into account how quickly they set alight.Overall these are excellent chips and I would buy again.

This is a good set for people learning how to use smoking chips, gives a good variety to find what type of chips you like (cherry and apple)

These wood chips are more like shavings & are perfect for the crock pot smoker. We got a variety of the chips: apple, cherry, oak, alder to flavor the meats we cook in the smoker. We cooked a pork loin using a mixture of the apple & cherry wood chips. We used an apple-cinnamon barbeque sauce. It tasted good. We like having the crock pot smoker because this can be used indoors giving us the smoked meat we really enjoy without being outside in the heat using a large smoker. The wood chip variety we bought was a great price & value for what we received. Thank you.
