Q: I bought two bulbs and they both went out within a week. Anything I can do?

Check your lamp; it could be defective, So far I have not had any issues with these and I only use these and on two different cages.

Q: Can this lamp sit on a screen?

I put it on the screen doesn't get too hot I use 75 watt

Q: At 18" above what temp would this get the basking spot? I don't want it to get above 90?

I have 75W lamp. It is about 17" above basking rocks. The turtles like it and it doesn't raise the water temperature that much.

Q: Is this light good for frogs also?

If you use the correct wattage necessary, you should be ok.
