I am very happy with this bar to clean my face. I have sensitive skin with redness. This bar leaves my skin feeling fresh without irritation or dryness. Smells great too. I started to use it as a more sustainable alternative to the micellar water from Bioderma Sensibio range. I do not think it is expensive because the bar lasts for months so it is equivalent to several bottles of micellar water. I would definitely recommend for sensitive skin.

This is a very pricy bar — in relation to the size of it anyway. However, I did some research on Gallinee and I understand it’s quite a difficult product to make and also the only prebiotic cleansing bar made in the UK, hence the price. I like this cleansing bar a lot though, I use it all over my body and it’s one of the few soaps that makes me feel clean, but does not make my skin feel stripped, dry, tight or ‘squeaky’ clean (blergh), which is great. I have very sensitive and extremely dry skin and this leaves me feeling soft, moisturised and smelling fresh. The scent is lovely — very gentle and doesn’t linger at all, but it’s so nice — to me it’s a creamy sweet orange blossom smell, very addictive — I’d love it in body cream or perfume. I didn’t try on my face as I already have a facial routine that works for me and don’t want to disturb it. I managed to finish the bar in just a week with everyday usage all over my body, but I like to do a full wash over twice. I have reordered a few more.

It is great soap but it's rough to use especially from new and it's very expensive for what it is

This is a very gentle cleansing bar and lathers nicely. I would prefer fragrance free but at least the scent is not overpowering. Works equally well on face and body. Very happy to find a bar with such a low pH and full marks for responsible packaging. Worth spending a bit extra for something so effective and such a pleasure to use.

Skin When I was using it no one told me that I looked like I had a radiant glow. I did not have any skin swabs or a microbiologist to consult about whether my microbiome had been improved. While using it my skin seemed healthy. Shrinkage rate I am sure that it reduced in size a lot more quickly than any other soaps I have had. I dried it off after use and kept it in the dark. Cost At the time of purchase it was £10.50 which was the most expensive soap I have ever bought. It would have been possible to have purchased a massive pile of normal bars of soap for this much. It has now gone up in price to £13.00. Scent It did not really have a strong scent to it.

As recommended by Sali Hughes, I bought this to wash my more delicate areas, and it works a treat. It’s quite a soft soap, so I imagine if I used it to wash all of my body, it wouldn’t last long. But it’s great for just my ‘downstairs’ 🤣

If you care about your skin, this is a must! I have such sensitive skin that almost every product dries it out and causes terrible rashes. My skin with this soap is soft, clean and noticeably healthier. It doesn't smell the greatest, but it is worth it!

Needs warm water to get the lather going, but this cleans so well w/out any drying or irritation leaving skin perfectly balanced. Went through a period of trying high street cleansers, Revive Hydrating Wash (which is not at all hydrating), La Prairie etc. and my skin was getting increasingly irritated and breaking out like mad. This bar calmed everything down and started clearing everything up immediately without burning, itching or flaking. Found this to be more calming that any Cetaphil cleanser as well. (I did cut the bar in a half b/c the square bar, while cute, was awkward to hold while using). Would recommend.

Souffrant d'un eczéma chronique des mains (dyshidrose), j'ai testé ce pain lavant avec curiosité et un peu de crainte, compte tenu du fait que tout contact avec l'eau aggrave l'eczéma... je l'ai adopté immédiatement : il n'entraine pas l'habituelle sensation de tiraillement et de brûlures généralement consécutives au lavage des mains. Je l'ai également temporairement adopté sous la douche, ayant eu un urticaire cet été : il mousse très facilement, l'odeur est à peine perceptible et ne subsiste pas (ce qui n'aurait pas été problématique puisqu'elle est agréable). Très soucieuse des listes d'ingrédients et adepte de cosmétiques bio, j'ai lu attentivement les commentaires sur sa composition ainsi que les réponses apportées par le fabricant, en ce qui me concerne et compte tenu de ma sensibilité dermatologique, ce pain apparaît comme une réponse adaptée et comme un excellent compromis entre les savons traditionnels et ceux qui, bien que bio, accentuent la sécheresse cutanée sévère et les démangeaisons de l'eczéma. Je regrette que son prix soit élevé mais le recommande aux peaux sensibles qui sauront l'apprécier !
