Five-Star Meal, Zero Gratitude
If you’re looking for a cat food that will turn your feline into a ravenous, ankle-weaving, alarm-clock-breaking menace, look no further. This grain-free wet food has my mini panther acting like he hasn’t eaten in weeks—despite his automatic feeder ensuring he never actually knows hunger. The performance begins at 5 AM with persistent meows and headbutts to my hand, as if he’s personally offended that I dare still be sleeping. If I’m not in the kitchen by 6 AM? The meowing gets louder. The pacing gets faster. The level of drama increases exponentially. Once the bowl hits the ground, all theatrics cease. He inhales his meal in under three minutes, then immediately scurries off to take his post-breakfast victory poop—a ritual I can only assume is a power move. Next, it’s time for work. He perches at his favourite window, assuming his duties as Neighbourhood Watch Commander and Local Kingpin. He observes the buses, monitors students lingering at the bus stop, assesses delivery people, and critiques traffic patterns. If something seems amiss, he will flick his tail in disapproval, but otherwise, he remains silent—because thanking his humble servant (me) for breakfast is simply not in his job description. Would I recommend this food? Absolutely. But be prepared: your cat will rule your household with an iron paw… and still never say thank you. In all seriousness, we choose grain-free cat food because it supports our cat’s overall health. He maintains a great weight, has a shiny coat, and absolutely loves the taste. We have very few instances of vomiting (something I’ve noticed is common with many of my friends’ cats) so it’s clear he digests it well. The smell isn’t overpowering or unpleasant, which is a bonus. Ordering it on auto-ship here is more cost-effective than buying it at the pet store. However, I do wish it came in variety packs like the ones available in stores, though my cat certainly isn’t complaining!

Good nonprescription food for CKD
Give to my 18yr old kitty with kidney disease. He will not eat prescription food but will these - chicken & liver. Loves the gravy

Good buy based on overall quality and cat approval
I judge cat food by three factors; quality, price, and cat. Per my research, this is a high quality food. It seems good quality out of the package, bits in gravy, it looks like most grocery store brands - not a bad thing, they've done their research on what cats want. Cats are alert, healthy, energetic, and sleek on this food. They have not had any vomiting issues or bowel problems eating it. Cost is good, probably the lowest of the high end food in a pouch. You can get as good/better food in a can for a lower price. I would prefer to have an optional larger pouch to feed more than one cat at a time, that should even out the price disparity, and lower packaging waste. Cats really like this food. They eat every bit, even the picky eater. They do like this food better than all pates. They still would prefer the 'whole food' cat foods. I personally find getting food out of a pouch annoying compared to cans. However, pouches ship well.

Good flavor and healthy
My cats love this flavor and for those watching their phosphorus intake because of kidney disease, pretty low in phosphorus.

A Delicate Balancing Act for CKD Cat
Rating: 3.5/5 As a conscientious cat owner navigating the world of feline nutrition on a budget, my encounter with Wellness Healthy Indulgence Morsels was a mixed bag. Quality and Nutrition: Rating: 4/5 In the realm of nutrition, this cat food provides a good balance. While not a perfect fit for CKD cats, the lower phosphorous levels make it a plausible compromise. Additionally, the low protein content is a welcome feature, aligning with CKD dietary considerations. For the general cat population, it stands as a quality option. Taste and Tolerance: Rating: 3.5/5 Navigating palatability proved to be a challenge. The Chicken and Salmon with a light gravy worked well initially, but at a certain point, my CKD cat decided to forego the chunks altogether, opting solely for the gravy. A mixed bag in terms of satisfying discerning feline taste buds. Packaging Predicament: Rating: 2/5 Here's where the journey hit a snag. The single-use plastic pouches, marketed for easy serving, turned out to be more of a hindrance. They were difficult to handle, resulting in a mess, and I ended up using a spoon to scrape out the gravy. As someone committed to sustainability, this packaging choice was a significant drawback. In Summation: Wellness Healthy Indulgence Morsels is a complex solution for cat owners seeking a compromise between CKD considerations, budget constraints, and sustainability goals. While it stands as a quality option for the general feline population, my specific cat's needs and issues made it less than ideal, leading to a nuanced experience.

Safe for kitty
My cat has urinary crystal issues. He had his penis removed. This is a safe once in a while treat for him I think.

Cat turned her nose up.
This is chunky cat food. My cat won't eat anything chunky, shreds or bits, so I have to puree' it with a stick blender first. She still didn't like it.

Beware seller does not accept returns. Bought because it was sold out in my local pet stores and I needed something close to the vet professional formula for renal diet for one of my cats. He would not eat it. I tried several times, many ways. My other cat wouldn't touch it either. Neither cat is fussy when it comes to fish or chicken. Best to try local stores first - pet stores will allow returns if your cat doesn't like it.
