I believe in fair trade, I always prefer organic, and I read all the positive reviews about this product. That's why I was SOOOOO disappointed to bite into my first slice. It was gooey and fibrous. Some of the slices end up in a cellulose ball that you either spit out or swallow. I had given a couple of packages away to friends as a gift before tasting them. I asked them later what they thought and they agreed. I wanted to help the small farmers but I wonder if only using "sun ripened" mangos means they were over-ripe? Fortunately Amazon has good customer service and refunded my money.

I got the pineapple variety. This stuff is a PROBLEM. I cannot stop eating it! So chewy. So sticky. So sweet. It tastes like pineapple candy but it's just ripe organic pineapple that's been dried.I'm buying two more packs right now because I don't want to run out. I've bought dried pineapple by several brands found at the stores near me and haven't found anything as good as this, with no extra ingredients.The pack I got had an expiration date 9 months in the future, says product of Nicaragua, fair trade certified by Fair Trade USA, and certified organic by Mayacert.Recommended!

Great expertise went into this dried product. While most dried fruit producers sell product that is over-dried, too hard and reminiscent of shoe leather and tasteless, this product is soft, supple, moist, and full of flavor, the way it should be. Each piece represents one half of a complete banana sliced length-wise. Only drawback is the expense. Item is highly recommended.

This is an excellent product. I kept checking the ingredients to be sure these weren't sweetened with anything; they are like candy! They are a bit softer, too, and I've not had any issues with stringy/fibrous pieces. My biggest problem is sticking to the serving size. These are absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend the product. It's organic and fair trade, too.

I have purchased this in the past and it says in the description it is a 2 pack.... and in the past it came in a pack of 2. I received only 1 bag- there is no way to get ahold of someone or try to return. :(I wouldn’t purchase one small bag for $15+!

Interesting smell and texture, but my bunnies will run across the yard and mob me if I step outside with some of these strips in my hand--they can smell them from 50 feet away or more. Since the bunnies eat far better than we do, the dried bananas are only used as special treats. Perhaps they know something that we, as humans, should know...

I wanted to use these to add to other dried fruit in a cake, nope. I wanted to like these as a snack…also nope. They don’t taste like pineapple (or anything else, for that matter)…just sour. They are obviously not returnable…so into the trash they go.

Don't waste your money on this item. It's not at all like the description. Terrible texture! No flavor at all! It was like gnawing on cardboard. No natural sweetness either. I'm not really sure what they did to this pineapple, but it's awful!
