Works very well, doesn't go off with leafs blowing. I wouldn't put it near a fire pit, because it will go off the whole time the fire is going.

I have had Dakota Alert systems for about 10 years now. They work well and keep me knowing when someone is coming and going. Although I have the system that works for me at about 250 feet, Dakota Alert also has systems that work up to two miles.

Disappointed that this sensor does not work with Dakota 3000 base unit. I will look into another company that doesn't change their product to make more money.

Works great, mounted in entry way so we know when someone is coming. Flawless operation so far.

This consistently sent out false alarms. Would work one day then not send out anything when 2 ft from receiver the next. Don't waste your money.

Arrived on time, works well. Adds a bit of peace of mind at our acreage.

This unit didn't work for us. We aimed it across the path of people coming in our door. It did not consistently send an alert. Installed and aimed from farther away at the door, it went off anytime someone walked to the end of the showroom by the door. Not the greatest for a showroom. Called the manufacturer, and they said we needed a magnet-type and when the door opens, it breaks the magnet and sends a signal. So we have ordered another type of sensor. Not sure what to do with this one now. We had a magnet one previously from Canadian Tire and it worked fine until we put in an automatic door opener. Then it became very sporadic and unreliable. So I certainly hope the magnet one from Dakota Alert works better than the CTC one.
