Simple Install, bright LCD, however I can only get the voltage to drop over time not the %
I bought the 24v GCARTOUR Battery Capacity Indicator for my daughter's Razor Pocket bella. Recently I upgraded the motor, control system, and the batteries as well and wanted her to be able to see her battery life. It's a small gauge and is super simple to install: Black and Red wires go to Black and Red on/from the battery. For my installation (see pic) I had to make an enclosure for the LCD so that it didn't interfere with anything behind it. I used Mattercontrol and made the enclosure and 3d printed it. Since it was small the enclosure only took 1 hr to print.I hooked the black to black and the red to red from wires coming off the battery intersecting the incoming charging wires. This is the typical method for wiring these type of gauges. The LCD is bright. It can easily be seen in day or night. Here are my gripes and subsequently why I rated this a 3 star rather than a 4 or 5 star.Pressing the singular "Power" button on the gauge switches it back and forth between one of two screens, Current Voltage, and Battery percentage with battery life bars. Holding the button down does nothing. The unit stays on 100% of the time, which means is it ever-so-slightly draining the battery and is super bright at night. Again, once connected to the battery...it never goes off.The battery gauge side doesn't work. After my daughter rode her scooter for 9 miles, it still said 100% battery and no bars ever dropped. Riding her scooter until it died, the gauge shined and still said 100%, the bars never dropped. Switching to the voltage meter works, fully charged it accurately displays the voltage, applying throttle shows the drops in voltage, and after a long ride it will show that the voltage has dropped significantly. But I didn't buy this to see voltage levels, I bought this to display the battery for my 9 year old daughter.Maybe I have a defective unit. :shrugs:

Works great on our golf cart.
The instructions for programming it were challenging, but it's working great. Good to know if our golf cart needs charging or not!
