I got the #13 Black version of this purse and I absolutely love it. It is important to note that the site offers several different styles and they might be able to fit different types of sized items (I only tried the #13), so be sure that the style you chose is the one with the features that you want -- I almost didn't realize this and glad I caught it before I ordered. My review is only for the #13 style. This purse is amazing! So many pockets, so many options to organize! Great material for daily use. So much room and so many ways to store your stuff -- you will never have to dig in a bottomless pit of a purse for items again, but I would challenge that this purse can hold just as much stuff! -Size: Size wise, this purse is about the same size on the outside as a standard spiral notebook or 10.5" ipad (see photo). However, the zippers don't quite open this entire length so I was just shy of being able to actually fit the ipad into the purse. No problem fitting an e-reader or a book, though. Even though the width of the zipper opening might limit how large of an item you can actually fit in, the compartments themselves expand and have room for tons and tons of item. I cannot say enough great things about this! -Compartments -- there are 5 outside zippered compartments: two main middle compartments (the largest of the pockets), two slightly smaller ones on the front (one is easily seen on the photo and then there is one that is actually hidden behind a seam), and a good-sized security one on the back. Inside one of the main compartments there is another zipper pocket, 2 slip pockets and a strap with a latch that you can use for keys, etc. -Side pockets -- There is a slip pocket on either end of the purse, however, these proved to be too small to hold a soda bottle or my s22 phone (I like to store it there for ease of access) -- so these are going to be more for smaller items-- maybe pens or gum. Unfortunately, they are not elastic, so you can't stretch to make them fit a typical bottle -- honestly, this is my only negative on this purse. -Material - This is a nylon material, so I don't worry about it getting a little wet or something spilling on it. It has a little bit of a "wrinkled" pattern that is subtle but very nice. It is very light-weight and easy on my shoulder. The zippers look like metal but are actually a plastic material, but work just fine and the zipper pulls are not just plain flat pulls but rather have a little modern design to them. -Strap - The attached strap is not removable but is thread through solid metal loops that are attached to the purse through smaller nylon loops. However, the shoulder strap is hugely adjustable to allow for several different looks. Shortening it the full way makes it very trendy and puts it just under your arm pit; adding more length makes it very comfortable as a crossbody or shoulder bag and I liked how it lay in position on my hip or side. I am so pleased with this purse and all of its flexibility. Great for anyone needing organization and lots of storage in their daily purse.

nice bag lots of pockets useful for travel

I have searched high and low for a 13" padded laptop bag that is compact like a 13" laptop is, but in a tote style, not a backpack style (Kanken Fjallraven has a 13" padded laptop backpack that functionally does the job, but I don't like how wide it is, plus I'm over the backpack style and really want a tote). I knew this Kaukko tote was not padded but took a chance anyway to see if it could be a toss-in-and-go tote for my travel workdays. Here are some thoughts... Likes: * It is a totally compact bag in terms of height and width. It fits the 13" laptop and zips up with just a touch of breathing room. It packs flat and is fairly lightweight * There are lots of pockets, some open, some with magnetic closures, some zippered. One could really get organized and stay organized, with everything having its place * There is an over-the-shoulder option and a crossbody strap option. I am not a tall person, and the double shoulder straps are long enough for me (taller folks might feel cramped carrying the bag this way). This will probably be the main way I carry the bag * It can fit my laptop, iPad, charging cables, and other small items I need for a travel workday Dislikes / FYI, which are mainly based on my using this bag as a laptop + tech bag: * The crossbody strap is lightweight nylon, not padded at all * When the laptop is in the middle compartment, which is the only compartment it fits into, I can slip in my 11" iPad and then that section is pretty full. While I can carry these two essentials, there's no way to protect them with padding, because there simply isn't enough room. I think I'll use the bag this way anyway, and just stay extra careful not to bang things around * With the laptop and iPad in the bag, it's not stable enough to stand on its own. There are spacious wide pockets and if there is enough stuff in there, the bag can be less unstable while standing up, but really it will always lean toward the front or the back and not stay upright. I'll probably always lay this bag on its side when I set it down This bag is not a perfect bag for travel workdays, but I don't think I'll ever find one. In which case I'm willing to use this one and I think it will be just fine if I'm careful.

I'll say it again, sooo much pocket space! While I'm not overly picky about my purses I need a few things; pocket space and a long shoulder strap. This purse meets those needs with tons of pockets and a shoulder strap you can adjust to the length you prefer. Measurements were just as described and the color matched the pictures too. The outer material seems to be water resistant so it shouldn't soak in any rain I might have to run through. The inside material is where I marked off star. Super plasticy and it makes that crinkle sound no matter how you place/remove items. Back to the pockets, there are many and almost all of them have zippers that run smoothly. The key clip is a nice extra too, though I'll have to break the habit of just tossing my keys in when I get out of the car haha. *Please excuse the pictures; I couldn't get a good picture without the flash and with the flash it seems more grey than black. The color is a solid black no worries there.

This lovely bag is a lot bigger than I imagined it would be. It's got snap-pockets on both sides, zipper compartments and pockets inside, which is lined with an attractive striped print. The lining fabric seems a tad thin and cheap, but only time will tell how well it holds up. At this price, I wouldn't let that discourage me from enjoying this nice, roomy bag. I like that it has both short and long straps, and the long strap can be tucked inside the bag while it is still attached. I like that feature very much. I chose the navy color to match jeans, and I think this color matches nearly any color jean very nicely.
