Tasty and rich pale golden raw Lime (aka Linden) blossom honey
Being raw honey this means it is strained through muslin but not filtered, and is also unpasteurised. Despite the lack of filtering there are no pieces of bee wings or body parts of bees and the honey is clear and golden as can be seen from the pics. Note raw honey isn’t organic unless it states organic on the labelling, which this product doesn’t.I wasn’t sure what to expect from Linden honey not having tried it before and unlike the widely available high street honeys this single-varietal blossom honey is distinctively unique and delicious.The honey is clean, sweet and uncloying but quite heavy with a very pleasant smell and taste of lime blossom, vaguely reminiscent of elderflower, rather than of generic flower pollen. The aftertaste is sweet. Note this is the lime tree not to be confused with the citrus lime.Although the product description says ‘Leak proof by plastic sealed ring on the cap for safety transport’, my jar lid was dented in two places, the tight cellophane lid seal didn’t do its job so quite a bit of honey had leaked into the bubble wrap bag and was all over the jar too.If you’re after a honey that’s a little bit different this might be right up your street.The honey was packed 15.03.2017 with a Best Before End date of 15.03.2020.Please note that due to a problem with my account which I am hoping Amazon will fix soon, my review is not showing Verified purchase.
