The object of putting Castor Oil on your abdomen is to reduce inflammation, bloating, pain, and relax the smooth muscles of the stomach. I have inflammation and during these past weeks, my digestive system has been working better than ever. I am going to continue and will report back further advantages. But why use the belly pads? You could put Castor Oil on without them, but the process is not for those on the go. Lying down 10-15 minutes, you'll smooth on 1-3 tablespoons with your hands. You'll need to wash your hands off and put your wet rag on a plate so has nothing gets a sticky mess. After drying your hands, you will then put a piece of plastic wrap over the Castor Oil on your belly. Finally, put a hot water bottle or a heating pad over it. Quite an ordeal. Using the belly pads, you put 1-2 tablespoons on the pad, and like a band-aid, you put it over your belly button and go about your business. It's so simple! Wear it all day, and no one sees it or knows you are doing something healthy for yourself.

While it does keep the castor oil from staining clothing and dripping out, it left marks on my skin. I won't be repurchasing this one.

It gave me an itchy rash ... I wore one over my belly button and had a terrible time taking it off the next day. It was super sticky my clothes were sticking to my stomach then it was full of lint!! I know it sounds funny but it’s not fun. Wear at your own risk!

Before using these, I would use a cotton wrap at bedtime, which got messy and stained all my clothes. So happy I found these. They are super easy to use, convenient, non messy, and easy to bring with you when traveling. Highly recommend. Just remember to use amcastor oil that's organic, hexane-free, cold-pressed in a glass bottle!
