Godin Guitars 036523 Solid-Body Electric Guitar

The neck is made from 2 pieces of wood glued together: this is a shame for a GODIN guitar!  Nothing happens when we turn the gain button except at the last millimeter before the maximum. This makes the volume adjustment difficult.  The frets are so high (3mm) it stops and hurts the fingers when we slide our fingers along the neck.  Guitar arrived damaged (mashed wood body) so we chatted to return the damaged article and Amazon confirmed a pick up within 3 days but after 1 week, nobody came. Then we asked to return from our account and received DHL labels but after 1 month nobody came.  We felt forced to accept the damaged guitar so we asked a carpenter for fixing the mashed body (120USD). Very bad Amazon experience!  The electro-acoustic equalizer and the synthesizer output are nice gadgets for a studio guitar but almost useless for a normal use.

Very nice guitar. I would have given it 5 stars but I had to intonate 5 ande 6, and tremolo is not at all set up to hold tune under any use. The fit and finish otherwise is perfect. The synth tracking is superb, have no fear if this is a main reason for considering this guitar. The pickups are decent and are actually better than I thought they would be for the price of the guitar. I will most likely not swap them out as the variety is there. I am not sure about the tuners, they seem okay, but feel kind of cheap. They may last for years only time will tell, but for now they do their job.If this was the end of the review I would say buy the guitar. But I saved the best for last. The acoustic voice... Oh my. with the onboard eq you can pretty much sound like any $3,000 Taylor. No I am not exaggerating. I am not talking about a taylor's acoustic voice but the sound of the expression system. And no acoustic feedback problems. Go ahead already buy it, it will exceed your expectations for a $1,200 guitar. This is so much more guitar than the Roland ready Fenders are.
