Angels Surround Us (Rattle Book) (St. Joseph Rattle Board Books) Board book – December 1, 2008

Our 8 month old daughter loves this book! We bring it to Mass with us, and it keeps her occupied while we are in the pew. The rattle is quiet so as not to distract parishoners around us, and the pictures are colorful and pretty. She enjoys this book and we are glad that she has received early exposure to Catholicism both by going to Mass and by reading these awesome books! We try to stay in the pew during Mass if our daughter is quiet, rather than going straight to the child room, so she gets used to sitting with the rest of the congregation, and these books have really helped!

My two-year-old loves these books! I have to say they are a little flimsy. Most of the book consists of a thick foam back cover, where the rattle is attached. There are 6 pages of sturdy cardboard. Overall, they need to be handled carefully and are very lightweight. I love that they are Catholic and appropriate for the preschool crowd. My daughter has learned a lot and repeats the things she's learned all the time.

Purchased this book as well as the matching mass book for both my grand daughters. They are perfect! I felt the rattle wasn't too loud at all for mass. This book will help keep the kids occupied when they get a little antsy at mass. Great little books, easy for little hands to hold, great illustrations. Would recommend!

Small & perfect to take along. Easy for child to hold onto the book with the handle rattle.

great pictures and written so simply. great for 1-3 year olds. The rattle is not loud and can be brought to Mass without disturbing the rest of the congregation. Pope Francis just recently said the the cries of children at Mass is a sermon.

fantastic book but in church not the most ideal seeing that it makes a noise! My daughter enjoys shaking it aswell as looking at the pictures. Great for encouraging story times, with a Christian slant.

Great for my 14 month old son to read during Mass.
