Hypafix® Gentle Touch - Soft Silicone Retention Tape for Extremely Fragile and Sensitive Skin (4" X 2 1/4 yd roll)

I have a rare form of pustular psoriosis on the bottoms of my feet. They get tons of blisters on them every day and can be quite painful! I was using a regular non-woven retention tape after putting medications and creams and such, and the other tapes, though good tapes in general, did not keep the medication and creams next to my skin and they were very sticky and irritated my fragile skin, and just were not working as I would like, but did not know there was a different choice.... until I was reading an article about manuka honey on my feet for my very hard to treat problem, and to use this tape... OMG!!! It adheres, but does not 'stick' if that makes sense... it stays in place, does not stick to my socks, and the silicone in it holds the honey on my skin, forcing it to absorb completely.... AND, it does not hurt or irritate my skin. Super easy to remove. The combination of this tape and the honey has made a drastic difference in my feet.... no pain, scales and blisters going down, no irritation... just wonderful!AND... yesterday, my poor pup, a black lab named Jed, injured the pad of one of his back legs.... I did not want to put anything on it that would hurt to remove with his fur and all.... so.... I used a small gauze pad with medicine and then used THIS TAPE to hold it in place. It is not elastic, so does not get too tight... it simply holds it in place, while keeping out dirt and such.... and comes off like a dream when changing dressings! A miracle tape for pets too! Win Win!

I had a severe infection in my knee. My wound doctor had given me all the necessary things to help heal. This tape worked the best.My husband now has a severe wound on his bottom due to rectal cancer. All the different tapes I used held effectively BUT when I had to replace and clean wound the tape was painful to remove.This tape did not hurt removing

The brand name of the bandage is what my Dermatologist uses after taking a biopsy or performing surgery. The verity of tape that he uses would break my skin out after a couple of days and if I continued to use it for bandaging it would rip my skin. So, I researched the brand name and found "Gentle Touch" and now I can keep a wound covered for two and a half weeks without any skin irritation while changing the dressing every 24 hours. The bandage stayed in place, on my back, for the whole 24 hours. I recommend highly.

This is hands down the very best medical tape available. It is extremely secure yet flexible & soft on the skin.The only issue is, It's a little tricky to apply. It has a center cut through to remove the protective backing. It would probably be easier to apply if the cut through was offset to one side.

I liked the tape for flexibility but recommend buying the “regular” rather than “sensitive” version for moving body parts. I used it on my knee and it literally fell off after 40 minutes exercising.
