Bought this for a large living room/dining room area. We have 3 cats and 1 large dog and it has been a game changer. I notice the quality of the air is much better. They also sell the replacement filters on Amazon, so it is an easy purchase. It is a simple machine to understand. I'm not well versed with technology simply because I do not invest time into it, but this was basically self explanatory. But if you do struggle a bit with the buttons, it comes with clear instructions. I've had this item for almost a full year now and it has not diminished at all. It is not loud in sound either. There is a bit of white noise from it, but not enough to be noticed unless you're deliberately listening for it.
