Good quality connectors, easy to install. Good value for the money.

All of the metal parts, including the solder tabs are a bit thinner than I would have liked. But for the price what can you expect? If budget is a concern and you're good with a soldering iron these aren't bad! I wired them to the end of a snake, knowing that they wouldn't be plugged and unplugged regularly. They worked great for that! Not sure how well they would hold up to regular use though with frequent unplugging and plugging

These are a great price: 10 for $10 is hard to beat. They are however not heavy duty, and a little bit too light duty. This was obvious when screwing the metal sleeve on, it sometimes would slip out of the thread just by over tightening. Once on, it would not stay together - just a bit of sideways force the sleeve would slip off the threads. There are only about 2 threads on the jack to hold the sleeve and that is just not enough. I had plastic ones that sturdier than this.However I have a need for some plugs in a protected situation, so I will keep them for that, because they otherwise seem pretty reasonable quality. They do come with a plastic insulator to keep the wires from touching the metal tube. Used in a protected place they should be fine.

Cheapest metal I've seen on any connector...ever...in 35 years. In this 10-Pack (unfortunately, I bought 4 of them), there were 2 varying types of internal retention clamps. Only 1 or 2 from each pack had retention clamps there were large enough to somewhat secure a standard diameter mic cable. I'm not being unfair to say that the metal on the entire connector (except for the outer part of the barrel) is so thin and weak it could almost bend or twist if one were to look at it too hard. They did prove to adequately carry a quality signal but, being that 1/4 connections like this are usually worked hard (patch cables, live instrument connections, etc.) they just don't measure up to the level of dependability they should. Will keep them on hand for emergencies and use in less stressful connections but, will NEVER buy them again.... or any other CESS product. Other products by CESS I have bought are worse... making this the best they have to offer. Shameful.
