Please do yourself a favor and invest in this product.
Im a vehicle detailer, and I have four general motors vehicles with black plastic trim (a Gmc Terrain, a Chevrolet Equinox, a 2004 chevrolet Z71 suburban, and a 2005 Caddilac Escalade ESV platinum), and this is the exact product you want to get to restore those cars trims. Ive been researching for years, and this product is not like the gimmicky kinds; It has a chemical reaction with your plastics, absorbing into it for longevity, and rejuvenates the oils and black color the plastics have lost over the years. It changes your discolored fading plastics into a fresh out the factory looking part and I'm in love with its results. The product does not wash off once it’s infused into the plastics, and continues to shine for months. I would not recommend burning your trim and making it bridle because you get a few months of rich color from it, use this stuff instead.

Works well but will stain Clothes/car paint if not applied carefully and correctly
Amazing product, my car trim completely turned grey from black but soon as I applied the product I could see a difference. It is very easy to use but be careful with applying it as it can stain. I also made the mistake of not removing excess as it says which I noticed it had dirt sticking to it how ever with a pass of a wet cloth the dirt was easily removed. It’s been around two-three weeks and my car trim still look amazing. Over all very pleased.

Excellent product, no smearing
I bought this item specifically to renew Weathertech floor mats to an original black color. Anyone who has ever cleaned and scrubbed and power washed Weathertech mats knows they never come clean. Great product, but they do not let go of dirt entirely, leaving very expensive mats owned by people who care about their vehicles looking old and filthy. Enter Solution Finish. I followed their directions completely. I washed and dried the mats. I donned disposable gloves (a must) and used a microfiber (low/no lint is the key here) cloth with a small area soaked with product, and massaged it into the mats. I also used an old toothbrush with product to get into area not as easily accessible with a cloth. Solution Finish covers the leftover dirt 100% evenly and leaves a deep, black finish. It has a satiny gloss to it. Not super shiny, very similar to the original finish, maybe a little shinier. After the entire surface was covered I used a separate clean microfiber cloth to rub the product in and remove any excess. I left them out in the sun to dry for maybe a half hour, and reinstalled. They come dry, and I saw no transfer of product, which is super important to make sure you don’t track product onto other floors, etc. It is a laborious process to be sure, but if you care about the looks of your mats and spent the $$ on Weathertech, it is absolutely worth it. I loaned a bottle to a friend who used it on a black bumper cover that had become faded. It too was restored to like new looks. The blackening also lasts a long time so you aren’t constantly re-applying. I’d highly recommend Solution Finish to anyone for the uses I listed.

Do not apply prior to a rain storm
We had to get a fender replaced on a 2012 Jeep Overland and they had to replace the black plastic fender trim as well. I knew that the trim was extremely faded so I asked the body shop to replace the one on the other side as well just so it matched...I paid the $285 out of pocket for that...now the front fenders looked great, but the black trim under the door, around the rear wheel arch, the back cargo step and roof rack looked terrible in comparison. I watched multiple videos on how to restore this plastic trim color and looked at everything from heating to painting! This seemed to be the easiest and most reliable method to restore the color of the black trim. I got this and a package of microfiber polish application pads. I used 2 pads. One to apply the stuff and the other to buff the stuff after it had sat for a while. Tip...wear gloves. And old clothing. You WILL get this stuff on you, your shoes, the ground and your hands will be very black afterwards...and it doesn't wash out right away...which is a good thing. Because you want this stuff to stick around on your car. Unfortunately for me, it rained the next day and I had some black streaks running down my white car. Took my polishing pad and rubbed where the black streaks were and they came right off the paint. This was 3 months ago and so far, it still looks good...we will see how it hold up over the winter!

Works as advertised!!
Was referred by a friend for this product. It’s as good as advertised. Restored my golf cart bumpers almost as good as new! Highly recommend this product!

This stuff seems to work and more importantly hold up for a while.
I bought a 2002 Honda CRV where half of the exterior of the car is raw black plastic bumpers and trim. So, as you can imagine, 22 years into the game, all of these pieces were 50 shades of gray. WERE. On day one I had little faith in this stuff. I'd tried Meguier's Back to Black, peanut butter, blasting the plastic with a propane torch, etc.... This stuff is messy and turns your hands and everything black if you aren't wearing rubber gloves, so definitely wear rubber gloves. It goes on easily enough and wipes off easily enough on day one. I was worried it was just a temporary solution because it just seemed like shoe polish or something where it was sitting up on top of the plastic. Just lipstick for a pig, you know? Well lo and behold, the black stuff soaked into the plastic and it's several months later, and everything is mostly still black and uniform in color. Well worth the money and it is holding up. This stuff can breathe life into dingy looking bumper covers and trim and make your vehicle look much nicer. I'm including two photos to show a before and 2 months after (instead of right after) to prove that it works.

A small amount spread on a clean surface restores the original black color. I have applied it twice a month, and it's doing quite well. My jeep fender flares were in very bad condition, and the weather where I live is extremely hot and humid. Probably will repeat applying the solution every month to keep them always in perfect look.

Found this product via Forensic Detailing Channel on YouTube. He raved about this product and I had not found anything to successfully restore the scuttle on my Mk5 Astra so thought I’d give it a try. I bought the small bottle to start, and wish I just got the big bottle, as this stuff really does work. The 12oz bottle is way better value for money and has a restrictor built in to the bottle top to aid flow of the liquid. The 1 oz bottle is just an open top and this product is very runny, I stupidly knocked it over on my kneeling mat when applying to the bumper trim and wasted half of it hence buying the bigger bottle too. If you wash skin and black clothes on a hot wash straight away you can clean up and salvage clothes, lighter clothes I imagine will stain pretty bad. You don’t need to use much product per item being restored. After spilling probably half an ounce of the small bottle I did all the plastics on my car and still had some left, but I own 2 other cars so bought the big bottle which will last me a life time probably. I cut a square off a cheap sponge to apply and used an old microfibre to buff off. Both disposed of when finished. Easy to apply on flat surfaces, grills and crosshatch surfaces are a pain but I sacrificed a detailing brush and used blue roll to buff up and soak. My cars are black so cannot comment if you get the product on light paint by accident, so be more careful than I was when applying

Parfait pour rénover ou noircir un plastique extérieur terni de voiture. Ne pas hésiter à laisser agir toute une nuit avant d'essuyer la pièce à rénover. L'opération est assez salissante, prévoir des gants et chiffons en abondance.
