I have extremely thick curly hair and I was a little worried that this would not work for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it did indeed hold my hair in place. I got so many compliments from work about these.

These are quite solid pieces. They are smaller than I hoped - I have moderately thick hair and find it hard to get all of it up one of these. But, I am finding them very useful in putting up part of my hair. When I use a hair tie to hold the hair back or up and then use the pin to cover the hair tie (pushing the pin THROUGH the hair tie to hold the pin in place) I have more options than just a pony tail.

A nice assortment, but being metal, easily slides right off of a ponytail type hairstyle, unless you use a hair tie first and catch it with the hairpin.

Adds a finished touch to an easy ponytail hairstyle. Great for work or everyday. I have thick hair and it works well over a standard hair tie.

Heavy but not flexible. One of the sticks broke the first time I tried to use it. Doesn't bind hair tight enough and so it slips right off.
