Veterans Day (Holidays and Festivals) Paperback – September 1, 2010

Small format (about the size of a man's open palm) which is not big enough to read to a classroom of children. Images chosen are sometime quirky / PC. Poor job of selecting images that accurately represent to children the different branches of military. I am guessing whoever wrote and edited this did not have any personal military experience. I purchased this item intending to use it for my son's Kindergarten class and was so disappointed I did not use it, choosing instead to do "show and tell" w/ military items. I am an Iraq War veteran / current US Army Reservist.

Great book to use with Interactive Read Alouds in our school district that matches our Social Studies Standards in TN.

As a Veterans and VFW member we used this book to read to 2nd graders in our local elementary school. They loved it

Terrific way to teach my grandchildren about our heroes

I am a teacher who does theme-teaching and this book really fit the bill.
