A handy tool
This simple tool does the job and will not scratch the inside of the jack. It even came with a few spare pieces of tubing along with a wrench, hidden inside the handle. It fits all of my guitars, both electric and acoustic.

This product did not work for me.
This product seemed great, but it did not repair my output jack as advertised. It doesn't seem to be made very well and there is a plastic ring that very quickly and easily was damaged.I do not recommend it. If you're having issues, go to a local Guitar Center and have them look at it. If you bought your guitar or item there, they will likely make the repair for free and even if not, it should only cost you $10-15, cheaper than this item.

excellent
Great tool. Does what it's advertised to do. Saves stress when a guitar jack becomes loose. And sooner or later you'll find that happens.

Great tool!
Built well, and works perfectly. I also picked up the JackTight for electrics, and they go everywhere I take my guitars.

Promising, but no cigar.
The tool gripped the jack just fine. But when I tried to reverse the process to remove it, it spun the jack around defeating the whole purpose of the repair. Good idea, bad implementation. Had to resort to the same ol' needle-nose pier method.

Not robust enough for difficult installs, and/or problem jacks
If you have some minor tightening needed on some of your jacks, this is a great tool and a solid value. HOWEVER, if you have a more difficult jack that needs tightening the JackTight simply will not cut it. Its ingenious (silicone, I think) sleeve will simply squeeze out and not hold. For difficult installs, or if you want to buy well and buy once, get this: Jack The Gripper, 1/4" Jack Tightening Tool The single review on Amazon shows the purchaser did not use the tool properly. Go to StewMac (the seller) and look on their site for reviews. You'll see how universally lauded the tool is. Frank Ford is a genius and develops wonderful tools. He's the guy that created FRETS.COM, one of the best sources of acoustic instrument setup/repair/maintenance information on the web. Period.I tried to go low price with JackTight (instead of Frank's more expensive tool) hoping it would take care of a difficult install jack, and it didn't work. I ended up buying Frank's tool next - POW - solved and done in a few minutes.Again, regular run-of-the-mill tightening will be fine with JackTight - just not difficult ones.
