This product was already used I could not even load it to my truck because it was locked so ,yes I will return this and hopefully I can get one that works I've heard nothing but good about these but once they are locked to someone else's truck that does me no good six hundred bucks at this point no good, I should have known cuz the seal at the top of the device was already undone and the case was not plastic wrapped like a new one would be so so it is,I would like to change my review seeing as how I thought I was reviewing the original seller I just received my new smarty yesterday and installed it today and yes it is as good as they say please disregard my review about the smarty itself because it was the seller that boned me this one is perfect the second one so as I was saying I loaded it and let me tell you about waking up an old dog and showing it new tricks I've had the truck since brand new it is an 04.5 and finally after all these years I purchased this for the old girl and I think she likes it so yes I changed it to 5 for the new seller not the old one the old one sucked for selling a used smarty so all is well and I like a lot thank you very much for reading my review oh and by the way I put it on stock to begin with and it cleared my 2609 code that's been driving me nuts without even going to deleting and it ran like brand new again just like that then I loaded number 4 and talk about a wake up call

This thing is absolutely amazing!, I was apprehensive about throwing down $700 on this unit for months, but after pulling the trigger on it, I have no regrets.It makes my Banks IQ/ Diesel Tuner look like a joke( I do regret making that purchase)The Smarty's power settings go from 0-9 and I've got significant power and take off performance with only a setting of 3.Note that if you monitor you EGT temps, it's normal for it to run a little hotter. May take a little longer for your turbo temp to drop before shutting off the engine.Also, I would advise staying at setting 5 or less if you have a catalytic converter in your exhaust setup.The excessive exhaust produced at the higher setting could clog the converter over time and cause a lot of overheating issues and a major decrease in overall performance.

The Smarty lives up to it's reputation! It brought my 2006 RAM to life. Setting 3 is as high as they recommend to go without modifications to the drive train. I pulled a 10K pound camper 70 MPH for 3000 miles with great ease (11.4 MPG). Catching bow ties and blue ovals on the way down the hills and passing them on the way up. I always liked driving this truck, now it is a blast. More power and torque then ever before. I am now working on the programming to see what I can do to improve my daily MPG. Best investment I have ever made and wish I would have done it earlier. It is easy to hook up and set, it just takes a few minutes. MADS did their home work on this product!

The single greatest power improvement you can make to your Dodge CTD powered truck.. Even when running at the lower "3" program, it is a huge boost in performance and gas mileage (unless you are stepping in it!). Going to a level 5 was even more impressive but I won't recommend going above that unless you have your transmission beefed up. When I recently upgraded to a 6" suspension system lift and 37" tires it took only seconds to adjust the tire size so the speedometer read correctly again.
