Nothing like chair's original canvas seat
The reason for 4 stars instead of 3 is I should have been more familiar with Sunbrella fabric to temper expectations. This replacement will work but the blue color is cheap-looking - unlike original canvas seat, this fabric has a sheen. Plus, it's thinner and denser than canvas so feels flimsy and weirdly slick. I'd say stick with a dark color if you want it to look okay.

director chair type
I bought one set of seat and back covers for my director chairs which did not fit because the sticks were round. I sent an email to return them and ordered the flat sticks. These seemed to work until someone sat in the chair, then they pulled loose. I never received a reply to my email for the first set, so didn't try to return the second set. $60.00 down the chair hole. Instructions on ordering are not clear.

Fits great!
Bought this to spruce up a 30-year old director's chair last summer and it looks great. The size and color are true (bought the navy blue). The Sunbrella fabric is a bonus as it repels stains/water. We use it at our lake house, and the fabric dries fast when kids with wet bathing suites plop down.

Great Color but Disappointing Quality
I was excited to find the color I wanted for my new decor. I’ve had my Director’s chairs for 45 years and I’ve replaced the canvas twice due to fading. I was disappointed in the quality of the canvas. It’s about half the density of the previous canvas. Two of the dowels were cracked. Fortunately, I saved the dowels from the old seats. I hope the seats will hold up over the next few years.

DId not work out
Product was of quality but had no way to attach the bottom and too short Top was too big Wanted to send back but it would cost shipping and extra money for any "damage" we cu two small holes so bottom would fit.

Great color
These are true Sunbrella fabric--they match some expensive chairs I have. Will last forever even on a boat in sun. Fit well and easy to cut down and resew if need a smaller width.

Like new...
We have had two director chairs for 15 years and were beginning to show some wear. We moved recently and the color was no longer right so I tried Amazon for replacements. The Sunbrella brand caught my eye so we ordered the beautiful blue color that they offered. Perfect fit and great quality.
