The fine print on the CD case states this release has no association with the Zappa estate-It further notes this set was "Produced,Mastered and Manufactured in the Czech Republic",where Zappa was revered as a genius during his life-This set is nicely packaged and seems to be sourced from radio and TV broadcasts-The sound quality ranges from decent to excellent and the shows are fantastic with lots of great Zappa guitar solos-I see a lot of bootleg Zappa on Amazon these days,as well as legitimate ZFT releases at decent prices that used to be overpriced on the Zappa website-I assume this reflects Ahmet Zappa's business decisions which are making it easier to afford to be a Frank Zappa fan,therefore more legit Zappa will be sold-Some "reviews" here say you can download all this music for free on the Zappateers site: Free is Good,but if you're wary of downloading like I am this is a great deal at $15 for a 4-disc set-I like this set and I'm glad I bought it!

Excellent for the serious fan
The sound quality is a bit dodgy at times, but overall this set is very listenable and contains numerous jaw-dropping solos by FZ.

Can't beat the value!!
Good quality on all discs. Some shows are available in complete form on other labels, but the selections here are the ones I would have chosen for a single disc compilation. A handful of rare tracks/arrangements make this a must have for fans, not to mention the unbeatable price!! You will not be disappointed.

I love Frank Zappa but some of the recordings just aren't that great of versions of the songs.
