Great quality
A great item. Used it for making butter. Did not shred or leave anything behind when butter was removed.

A Rare Find, Thank You!
Wonderful product, great quality. Easy to cut little pieces off, wash with gentle soap, rinse, then use. I use it to strain kombucha as I pour it out of 2nd fermentation bottles. With some more densely-textured fruit flavorings (which have usually been puréed), it helps to wet it and then squeeze it out, so it’s damp, before using. Then it’s easy to simply rinse and let dry. It dries really quickly and can be used multiple times. It’s a very generous quantity. Have cut pieces off and shared them with friends. Now that I know what real cheesecloth is like, I never want to go back to the flimsy stuff I’ve used before. You’ll not regret this purchase.

Very Thick, Great Quality, Needs lots of initial washing
Ultimately, I’m glad I got this, and I’m glad this company is providing this product. The thickness & sturdiness is nice for most applications. It is easier to clean after using it to contain herbs & broth veggies when making chicken soup, than the double layer of regular (good quality) cheesecloth I had been using previously. There is only one layer of this to deal with, and being so thick it is easy to rinse/scrub stuff off. It also does work well in a single layer for “dripping” yogurt, with a weight on top, to make “Greek yogurt” or labneh (kinda like a cream cheese.) Being much thicker, it does add bulk/stiffness to the fabric. It’s fairly workable when wet, but not *super* pliable & super easy to wring, like regular cheesecloth. But I manage this okay, even with my hands that have pain. It seems much more stiff and bulky when it comes in the package, but it softens up nicely when it gets wet.The thing I’m not thrilled about, is this took much more effort to clean before initial use, than my other unbleached organic cotton cheesecloths had. All of them get initial washing/boiling till the water runs clear, but most release a reasonable amount of yellow into the water from the cotton & then the rinse water comes clean fairly quickly. This one turned the water very dirty and cloudy, and took me more than one day of boiling it in new fresh batches of water, agitating and wringing as I rinsed by hand in between boiling sessions; then doing it all again. And Again. It took forever before I was getting rinse water that looked reasonably clear. The pictures are after I had boiled & then rinsed the cloth *several times* already, after initially receiving it. Eventually I did get it to come mostly clear.I hope the company looks into this, as it sounds like other customers have had similar issues with it releasing lots of gunk into the water initially, and it also sounds like this is not what they expect for their product, by what they’ve responded to in people’s questions. I would hate for someone to use this straight out of the package for preparing food, because it was billed as being ready for use, and end up with that gunk in their food. All that said, the thickness & quality of the cheesecloth is truly nice & not something I’ve found elsewhere. I also appreciate that this seems responsibly produced. I appreciate the GOTS certification, and that they seem to be doing their best to offer an ethically produced product. They also seem to be a small business that puts a lot of effort & care into their products & customer service, answering questions, etc. It’s worth it…just make sure you wash it well, first! For the company’s reference, my order was in August of 2021.

Very nice product
Arrived quickly. Was nicely packaged. Very good quality. I used it to cover our turkeys for Thanksgiving and they came out delicious. Used to cover two turkeys and still have a ton left over.

Good, Natural Product
Nice quality. I liked the fact that it is unbleached and organic. I use it on my microgreens sprouting trays instead of paper towel. You'll need to cut it (and make sure to cut it a bit larger) since washing it will shrink it a bit.

As described
It's a fine mesh cheesecloth and seems to be reusable and washable. I put it on a delicate cycle with my other delicates and it comes out clean and fresh as a daisy ready to use again.

Organic Unbleached Cotton Cheesecloth
I used cheesecloth previously for straining peanut oil but not until recently for something like making mascarpone cheese. Since I retired, I am trying new things in the baking/cooking department and recently decided I would make the mascarpone. I had only a little cheesecloth left and needed to purchase more, so I started looking online (this was in the midst of the COVID lockdown and I was ordering a lot online). I had no idea the varied quality in cheesecloth. I elected to get this product since it was organic.I read many reviews/descriptions and while I was tempted to just buy the cheapest, I elected to get this product. What sold me was this comment in the product description:"What is so special about this Cheesecloth? It is certified organic cotton, which means we can trace it from the farm to the mill to you without any pesticides or chemicals. It is a dream to use in the kitchen and to clean, whatever you’ve strained just washes off. Stronger and more durable than Grade 90 baby muslin, you can wash and reuse it many times. The generous 18 sq yards can be cut and used single thickness for fine straining."This is so much better than the cheaper cheesecloth I'd purchased previously. I could not get over the difference in the weight and weave of this product versus what I'd bought at the large retail store. While it may cost more, if you are using for serious cooking I definitely recommend paying a little extra. You will not be disappointed.
