been using these for "clamps" while playing with cardboard they work great at holding potato chip + bags shut and slowing me down a smigen in graping snacks. have been trying to convert "free" card board into buildings and figures for d&d type gaming. Now i need a friend or three to play with ;-)

The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the metal is a bit rough from production. If you have kids, some of the edges are sharp enough to cut them. I spent about 20 minutes with my dremel and a small stone wheel sanding all the sharp edges down. Minor issue, but it is there.

These clips are great--except for the scary sharp edges, which I read about from other reviewers. My brilliant engineer husband came up with a fine solution. We folded strips of masking tape over the edges to cover the sharpness. Worked like a charm! I also put small pieces over the top round edges of the blades. Duct tape would surely work as well. The tape does not affect the power of the clip, and it will prevent cuts. I took a photo to show here, but I can't get this page to accept it. You'll have to use your imagination! The round parts you squeeze to open the clips are sharp on the inside--still need to be careful. But it is easier to avoid the sharpness on that part than it is on the blades. As my Granny used to say, "Use them in good health!"

This are sturdy and great clips, worth your $$

After discovering stainless chip clips, I’ve been replacing my plastic ones. But I didn’t see any really large ones at stores, so was happy to find these on Amazon.Stainless clips look good, close tight, and are sturdier than plastic ones. It seems like they should last many years.

I use these metal clips for tortilla chip bags and potato chip bags. I had a sturdy plastic clip I was using that snapped on the tortilla bag after a number of years. The tortilla bags are fairly thick and I figured it was time to find a better product to use. These clips are perfect so far: they are strong, large enough, and have a good spring tension. You need to be a little bit careful about the slightly rough edges, but I have not cut myself and I probably won't. Very good product and a better deal than what I found on another website. Recommended.

We've been using these for several months now, and they work well and haven't broken (high praise in this era of shoddy goods that break easily). The size is a good middle range.

These clips are very strong. I've used 1 for a large foil-lined dog food bag and 1 for a large bag of flour. We also plan to use them in the garage for large bags of grasseed, ice-melt etc. They are a good width and have a strong grip.

Good size and strong grip provides a good secure seal. Great product
