It's the jam
It's a workout but I've gotten through some pretty hefty logs with this, 16-18" or so. I like it better than the larger tooth saws. The hand grip is nice and big for gloves. Teeth are nice and sharp, not too big, not to small. Cuts through downed trees easily.

I knows saws, and this a real, professional saw, made in USA, thick, aggressive, smooth cutting.
I have used 100s of saws, and manage forestry land. This is a superb saw. It's well-built, solid, made in the USA. It has an aggressive bite, and cuts smoothly and quickly. The teeth are big enough that you can sharpen it (not that over-hardened big box junk). Fanno Saw works is/was a real company that makes saws for agg forestry.

Very sharp!
Sturdy, well made, and very sharp! I use this saw for cutting through 24 inch thick blocks of rigid foam. This saw should last me a lifetime.

Great for dry dead wood
The saw works great on dry/dead timber, does not want to cut green wood due to the lack of rakers. It cut through a 10 inch or more downed and dead alder in about a minute, so it rips right through, and will be decent for harvesting firewood the old fashioned way.

Perfect saw for people who don't want to use a chainsaw
Works really well and cuts surprisingly fast! The teeth are inredibly sharp, too. I wish there was a little more set on the teeth though because it binds to the wood sometimes when cutting large diameter logs. Other than that it's a very nimble tool that's perfect for cutting large-size firewood. Also a perfect saw for people who don't want to risk getting hurt from using a chainsaw.

Beefy Saw that Works Well with Raw Timber
I got this to saw through raw timber. I had a 6 foot long, 16 inch diameter tree trunk that I wanted to rip cut/cleave in half, the old fashioned way. I started off using a regular hand saw, and based on my initial progress, estimated that it would have taken me > 30 hours to get through. So I realized I needed a saw with more bite. This saw fit the bill. It took me only a few hours to get as far with this saw as I did after days of work with the regular hand saw. It is like a chainsaw powered by you. What I like about this saw is that it is beefy. It will flex, but not too much. With the hand saw, I was seeing flex that would cut differently on each side of the trunk. But with this saw, the cut was perfectly straight across the entire diameter. The teeth on this saw remove a lot of material with each pass, and they are very sharp right out of the box. I did not need to sharpen them.

Very straight cut at a great value
Update: Finally finished! This saw is nearly as sharp as the day I bought it after planking a 7 foot log of aspen that was 7.5" thick! Someone said it is not a pull saw, but I disagree and believe it is both. I prefer pulling to keep a straight line and it did just fine. --------- I took advantage of the wood from one of my aspen trees and started planking a 7 foot section starting at the trunk by hand and found out aspen is not as soft of a wood as I thought. I bought this saw after burning up 4 12" Sawzall blades in less than a couple of hours. I was able to get 2 feet of plank cut on both sides done in half the time and cut straight correcting the cut I already hacked out with my Makita. There is no wobble and it does not have the tendency to dig due to the offset teeth which does product a little wider cut than traditional thinner flat tooth blades. Just a nice smooth, straight cut that you can easily maintain down the length of the log with a couple of delicate and precise pulls every now and then. After 6 hours of use, it is as sharp as ever. My arm may fall off quicker than the blade will dull out. Planking by hand is a lot of work. It takes time and patience no matter what kind of blade you use so pack a lunch because you are going to be there a while but this saw will make it much much easier and for the price, you can't beat it. Comparable 30" blades (which were not many) are more than double the cost which I was not willing to spend on something that I had no idea would work. I do not regret buying the Kings County Tools 30" Bull saw one bit and will get many years of use out of it. Thank you for a great product!
