We’ve gone through many beach umbrellas that struggle to stay upright on the beach and finally decided to spend more and buy this umbrella. Wish we had done so sooner! It is by far the best beach umbrella we’ve ever had. We use it with a heavy duty sand screw and the umbrella didn’t budge while other umbrellas and beach tents blew over that same day. It’s heavy and a bit large to carry back and forth, but we still feel like it’s worth it. Love it!

After purchasing several types of umbrellas at $40 a pop, I decided to pay a little more and this one has stood the major tests we face with our beach rental property: really windy days and renters who don't necessarily care for your things. After 3 months of use, it still looks great and is solid. We took a trip down last week and used it in stiff winds and when I observed others' umbrellas, ours was rock solid, while theirs had considerable swaying with the wind. It's a snug fit into the canvas cover that accompanies it (better to have a buddy, I also collapsed and stowed it alone), but has two straps for shoulder or hand carrying. Placing an order for another, having had this great experience.

This the same umbrella that you would rent at the beach stand, except no substitute. If you consider the cost, over the years of service you will receive from this Frankford Umbrella, you will find this to be the best deal out there. MONEY WELL SPENT.

This is a very sturdy umbrella. It is easy to assemble and unshakeable (we used a heavy duty anchor). I would suggest ordering the carrying case, too, since it does not have a strap to keep it together once it is folded back up. I wish it could be angled when the sun is overhead, but that was not a huge problem at all.

Pays for itself relatively quickly if you usually rent this style umbrella at the beach. Very sturdy, stable in wind, attractive, and unlike a rental comes with a nag with carry strap.

Living near an ocean and frequent trips to the beach, we needed something more durable than the flimsy umbrellas you get at regular stores. This is a serious umbrella, very strong and durable. Quality is excellent, the wooden pole is strong, and the umbrella doesn't sway or have issues. The carry bag is snug, but adequately holds it and makes it easier to transport from the car to the beach.Highly impressed, if we ever need a second to expand the shade coverage, will certainly buy another one of these!
