These are easy for our young kids to slip on and off-and fit well! The padding is sufficient and I appreciate that the guard can be removed so the sock/covering can be washed. I bought size large for my 7yo. I think I could have sized down to a medium but I figure he'll grow into it. This new style of shin guards are the way to go. Its easy for my kid to put it on himself and I can easily wash them after each game/practice and it won't become stinky and gross. I like that it's neon green so we can always spot them and not go hunting for them 5 minutes before we have to leave the house.
