KH-Security100146 Electronic Safe Guard Dog

Having just lost my dog after many years, not having that extra security a dog brings to my home was missed. This device really works and gives people the impression there is a large dog the other side of the door. I particularly like the fact that it can be plugged into the mains and therefore won't cost a fortune in batteries. The sound is very realistic and has fooled many coming to my door. I now hope that Amazon will be able to work with me to obtain the extra sensors available. If you are not keen on the barking dog, you could set it up as an internal door alarm. It also has a panic alarm which can be set off via the remote control. The remote control is another excellent feature as you can turn off the barking dog or other sound at any time by simply pressing a button on the remote. This works from other rooms in the house. I don't normally write these sort of reviews but this product deserves a comment. If you are particularly looking for a guard dog without the extra money they cost, then the outlay on this product is worth it.

Very disappointing. First it does not come with a UK plug, it has a two pin European which I had to go out and buy an adapter for. Then plugged it all in for a test and thought the volume was down, it wasn't, the volume was full up but the unit was very very quiet. I then thought a restart might be needed, I was using the mains adapter and not batteries, so switched it off, counted to ten and switched it back on - NOTHING HAPPENED! The unit was dead. So I didn't get a chance to see how effective it was or how well it worked, I now need to think should I try another or try a different make.

Actually quite like this product. A little trial and error but once set up is very effective. Not supplied with UK plug. Comes with remote which I've not used yet...

Easy set up, but sensor works both ways so a set up in a room or window triggers when you walk into the room, as well as when strangers come to the door.. Bark is nowhere near loud or fierce enough to scare anyone. Strangers are more likely to try and leave it a bone to feed it

Fitted to the back of our solid wood house front door about 4 feet up from the ground.Our cat does not trigger it indoors. Does exactly what it says on the tin, its amazing. Surprised by the range as it extends right down our 15 foot long path. At the bottom of the path it detects and the "Dog" barks once. As you get closer to the front door the "Dog" barks faster and more furious. Sounds very realistic. Impressed my neighbor so much he thought we had bought a dog. He is buying one straight away. It's a great product. We currently run it on the internal batteries as the power lead is not very long. Tend to turn it on and off and not leave on all the time. It also makes a good door bell as anyone coming to the house door makes the "Dog" bark. Highly recommend this item.

It only seems to work when placed near the front door, it does the job so no complaints there.Reading the documentation, it says will not work through double glazed windows, that proved true.It was not good for double brick walls either.I guess the best thing is behind the front door.We have a microwave porch light and the 'dog' works with it OK, no interference from one to the other.The noise level is on max to give a realistic sounding dog, the detection distance is also on max.Very happy with the escalation noises from a single bark to a really furious large dog.Item seems well made.Have not tried the battery backup as it is powered via a UPS that also powers the phone and other alarm systems.

Installed in my garden shed with just a single thin plank wall between the device and the access path. Detection completely failed. Walk into the shed itself and loud barking ensues. Unfortunately this unit is therefore completely useless in operating conditions.

This product is very good real sound of a large dog.The barking is very loud is a very good alarm for your house.I would recommend this product.

Habe das Ding wieder zurückgeschickt. Das Hundegebell klingt hinter einer Tür sehr echt, also hier 5 Sterne.Leider reagiert das Ding nicht richtig durch Wände und hatte auch hin und wieder Fehlalarme, von daher leider unbrauchbar für mich.Schade für die gute Idee !Umtausch verlief reibungslos via Amazon und ELV, dafür auch 5 Sterne !
