Fleck 5600 SXT Water Softener Ships Loaded With Resin In Tank For Easy Installation (32,000 Grains, Almond)

The softer was a fairly easy install with SharkBite 1" connectors since the plumbing and drain was already installed on my old system. System settings easily set up with the digital control. Very important to test your water for hardness levels to set your system up. You will need to know your gallon per day usage for setup as well. Instructions tell you how to estimate it, and then I adjusted levels based off tracking actual usage from the digital readout. The instructions that ship from American Water Solutions tell you to adjust certain settings and the rest were preset before shipment. I went through them all and found one preset to be wrong. I would download the full instruction manual off the net and do the same. For my household (metered usage), it provides soft water for a full 10 days before regen. Varies based on hardness. Our water is very bad with hardness level at 16 gpg. It puts our old system to shame. We could not be happier.

New install,first water softener in our house. I ordered the almond color set they accidentally sent me a black pre-charged tank and a almond salt tank. Customer support was great took care of my problem immediately . The water softener is great easy install. no problems and super customer service. Today at least for me great customer support will make me a lifelong customer .

After a year and half my tank has started leaking resin and clogging my pipes. Beware of this seeker on Amazon. They say the tank is warrantied but when I called fleck, they only warranty the control. The tank is made by another company and this Amazon seller is not responsive to help you with the warranty. Save yourself the trouble and buy one from your local hardware store

Now 5 years old and still working wonderfully. Great value.

***UPDATE***I put a particular hose (Apollo 6-ft L 3/4-in Hose Thread Inlet x 3/4-in Hose Thread Outlet PVC Washing Machine Fill HoseItem # 788164 Model # AFWMF6). DON'T PUT THESE ON. They significantly reduce your whole house's water pressure (as another reviewer stated, don't use "washing machine" hoses, which is what I mistakenly did).I will update after I replace those hoses to tell you the part number and prices of the new hoses.I bought this along with a "whole house" filter (Watts WH-LD Premier Whole House Filter System).Here's the parts you will need for SURE: (available at Lowe's; prices were what I paid, yours may vary)You'll need at least one, probably two adapters to get from the huge threaded ends, down to a regular "washer hose".On the left side, you'll need two of these. Easy setup works great and seems to use less salt than my old unit.

Took a chance on buying a water softener online instead of at a big box store. Semi easy to install although had to hunt for the directions a bit. Box didn’t come with any. A simple internet search brought me to several install videos from the provider that were easy to follow. Haven’t had any problems in the last 3 months and have enjoyed our soften water.

I ordered this model for very hard well water at my house , works great , all the hardness and iron is gone . Before I had this softener my water turned everything orange . The instructions were clear and package came quickly .
