Perfect for winter! This kit made it so easy to start an indoor herb garden. The herbs are growing rapidly, giving me fresh basil, parsley, and more for cooking when outdoor gardening isn't possible. Everything you need is included, and it's a joy to watch them thrive indoors. A must-buy for winter herb lovers!!

Bought in March, the return window closed on the 28th of April. Was very excited, however, the soil product that comes compressed in the kit is only enough for 4 of the 10 containers. For a person who had no extra soil, it would be utterly annoying to go to the store to buy more soil to fill the other 6 pots. I followed the instructions to a T even read the little kit's seed information to make sure I was soaking the correct seeds for the right amount of time, misting the seeds as necessary. I used the entire little seed packets that came with the kit and still had no luck with most of the seeds. I bought a grow light and kept the temperature right. It has been way beyond the time period the seeds would need to sprout so I can confidently state: this was a disaster and a waste of money. Purchase other kits/seeds separately....wish I did. Edit: After writing this review the company did contact me and offered to either replace or refund. I opted for a refund. I thought that was great customer service!

I love the little self watering pots. However they way the wire stacked in the package 2 of them were cracked down the side and unusable. Also there is not enough soil to fill all of the pots. But ever all the kit is everything I wanted. Just wish there was more soil and they were more careful packing the plastic pots.

Some seeds didn’t grow.

Great kit, everything you need to start your kitchen garden. The planter’s size are perfect, not too big or too small, I fit 8 planters on my kitchen window, makes it easy to water them every day.

I got this for my mother for her birthday since she loves growing her own herbs in her windowsill. This made it even easier! The kit comes with everything you need, and it's super easy to get started. Two of her herbs even started growing already.

I wanted to like this a bit more than I did. My kit arrived quickly but I could tell it had been opened before (you could tell it had been repackaged a bit haphazardly). My kit also came without the cilantro seeds. I decided to just keep it rather than go through the trouble of returning. The planters are fine - plain white plastic, but they feel sturdy enough. The dirt discs that expand when moistened were interesting … I’m still not sure what to make of them honestly. Most of my seedlings still haven’t germinated after several weeks, so I’m giving them another week or so and I may just try again with my own potting soil. If still nothing, I may have to assume the seeds are just no good. I will update this review based on what ends up happening. The little shears that come with this are cute and convenient, and I do like that they also include the little signs so you can clearly label what each planter is growing. Overall, for $30~ I’m a little let down so far, since I received an obvious return with one of the seed packets missing and so far only thyme and lavender have showed any signs of life. I do have a green thumb and have experience with growing herbs, so if I have to end up using my own soil and buying seeds from elsewhere to get this herb garden going, at that point I’ll have no means to justify spending $30 on this. Hopefully I end up wrong!
