Cheaper and more convenient.
We both use CPAP machines and we only buy distilled water when we are on a road trip. We have had this distiller for almost 2 years and it is still working great. We do try to remember to turn it off before it runs dry so that it is easier to clean.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I Could Give It 10 Stars, I Would!
I have had the water destiller since October of 2024 still works great! I use the 2lb Quick & Clean Universal Descaler to easily clean it. The VEVOR 1.1 Gal Water Distiller has completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this was a well-built, thoughtfully designed machine. It’s sleek, compact enough for my countertop, and incredibly easy to use. I use it regularly to make pure, clean water for drinking, cooking, and even for my appliances—and the difference in taste and clarity is amazing. It heats up quickly, runs quietly, and produces a full gallon of distilled water in just a few hours. The 750W heating element is powerful and efficient, and the one-button operation makes it totally hassle-free. What really impressed me is how versatile and reliable it is. The included plastic container is sturdy and easy to clean, and the whole setup feels like it’s built to last. I’ve used it daily and it hasn’t missed a beat. If you're looking for a dependable, high-quality water distiller for home use, this is it. It’s a fantastic investment in your health and peace of mind. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic Safe Packaging
Brilliant Design. But the manual.. is frustrating. You will need Citric Acid to clean at first, and it is not supplied. They do supply a cleaner.. But you will eventually need a bigger container of that. Order the citric acid first.. Download manual. The panel is also a bit frustrating because of the manual. I am still new to it as it is going through its 1st 20-minute run as I write this. So far so good. A solid product. The manual jumps around vaguely. Nice and quiet. Works great.

Seems to Work; Good Compay, Difficult to Clean
This is my 2nd one, first one, not from Vevor lasted 3 years. I purchased the ASURIAN warranty but don't have much hope it will be any good. The distiller makes a gallon quite quickly; I have no problem making 3 gallons per day. It is somewhat cumbersome taking the lid off to clean it, the furnished cleaning powder works much, much better than I expected. It actually is better than vinegar - just wish I knew where to purchase more. The inside of the lid, heater assembly. is hard to clean. Vevor is a well respected company - I'm sure I will be happy with it.

Nice, Efficient Water Distiller
This works well. I'm pleased with it. Seems durable and is very easy to use. The carbon filter is the most difficult part, if you choose to use it. Not too loud and warms and humidifies the room it's operating in. Takes about 3.5 to 4 hours depending on whether or not you allow it to finish the cycle, and dry the sediment to the bottom, making it harder to clean between uses. Carbon filter your tap water first, for less sediment, especially if you've got hard water (lots of minerals) in it, for less clean up. I use citric acid powder or white vinegar to clean and rinse well with clean water and a dedicated sponge, and dry with a paper towel. I'm happy with my purchase, and the price was great!

Efficient and very practical!
This item is amazing, I use it for my steam vacuum, essential oil diffuser, Vicks sinus steamer, neti pot, and homemade baby wipes. It’s very straight forward, I scrub it out after each run to ensure the next run will be clean! And it holds a lot of water! Saves me from buying so many gallons of distilled water!

Great unit. Has easily paid for itself.
Great unit! I've made maybe 100 gallons so far and it's still working like a champ. Has easily paid for itself. Followed advice of another buyer. Run for about 3.5 hours so that there's a small volume of water left. Makes it easier to clean. I bought a mechanical timer for about $10, and it works great. For cleaning, different from the directions, I fill it almost to the top (getting all the deposits) and use 4 tbsp of citric acid. I bought a squirt bottle for keeping the very top free of deposits (works great). We use filtered water so that the deposits are not too bad. Agree with many other buyers - directions are lousy but it's not hard to figure things out.

Lasted 1 year. Started to rust and leak. Shame because we really liked it up until then.
Had for a little over a year and used it almost every day. Super easy to set up and use. Parts didn't feel cheap or flimsy. Water came out clean according to our water tester. Worked alright for the longest time, but then started having some issues. First was rust started popping up on the inside of the top motor area and around the edges. There's a little flat disc part that the steam goes into and that part rusted super fast. Tried to clean it off, but the rust kept coming back. The rubber gasket that seals the top piece in place started cracking, too. After a while, only about half of the water was being distilled (the jug would only be half full once it was done) and we assumed the rest was just escaping as steam due to the gasket failing. A month ago, we started getting large puddles of water under the machine after it was done running and the jug was only 1/4 full. We couldn't find any leaks or obvious spots where water was dripping from, so we aren't sure what part of the device was failing to cause that. We're thinking it must have been running down the inside of the plastic housing, because we cold never find any dripping areas and it was A LOT of water. Either way, lasted a little over a year before we were on the hunt for a new model. Which is a shame because we liked it very much. For the price, it's not bad, but you're getting what you paid for.

Use this product everyday. Works well. Only improvement would be a glass rather than plastic water collector container.

This works well and is easy to operate - the small jar of citric acid for cleaning had solidified so I was not able to use it but is not a big loss . I ordered some more . I can’t position the spout to line up with the metal cap for the container so I am not able to use it . I’m wondering if there are better instructions to help . They have since replaced the spout for me . It took a long time to get here but it fits well . I used this for 6 months , to distill water for my humidifier then I cleaned and stored it until now and when I used it again it leaked all over my kitchen . I filled it again and it leaked again . I can no longer use it . There are pinholes in the tank .

Have used countertop distillers since 1987, the best and most economical way to ensure safe drinking and cooking water. However, even though these latest models have an excellent price the seals fail in less than a year. Used to get 10 years before a seal began to fail now this is the second time the whole unit had to be thrown away due to poor seal engineering. Any of these type of Chinese Countertop Distillers are all the same design even with different manufacturer names. We have recently bought a third of these newer Chinese units because ease of use and the price to have clean water this is still the cheapest way. Just wish they would use better seals or have a reasonable and cheap way to replace them. With this new unit even if it fails early will still give us at least 1200-1500 litres of clean water for $120 Canadian. Good Luck.

I read an American buyer here said he tested the water PH with dropper and it’s very acidic, but others says it’s the opposite. First of all, digital PH meter is not accurate at all unless you are using very expensive ones that is sitting in some special liquid that would cost hundreds of dollar. The accurate way to test liquid PH is to use chemical dropper. I tested the water before and after using this distriller, and the American buyer was right about it. The distilled water’s PH is at most 5.0, very acidic if you are using it for plants. It’s understandable because distilled water in real life is never 7.0 because all the CO2 and other things in the air that would be mixed in the water. If you want to use it on plants, you need to get a PH up, because it’s a bit too acidic to plants, and this value will certainly cause a nutrition lockup if you are mixing any plant food with this water. To my surprise, the tap water in London (Ontario) is almost a 7.0, so it’s pretty good. All my plants are drinking tap water, because I don’t want to mess with ph all the time. I only use this machine to make distilled water to use in the humidifier, so I’m Ok with this PH. I am suspecting if the low PH is due to the active charcoal package (also one of the reason why you shouldn’t add “horticultural charcoal” in your potting mix because these things have very different PH value and they mess your soil PH in all kinds of unpredictable different ways). I will test the PH again without the charcoal filter tomorrow and see how it will affect the PH value. I love this machine. It’s actually takes more than 4 hours to make 4 liters water, but right now it works very well for my need. I am using it everyday.
