Most pressure pot sandblasters use a brass ball valve for the abrasive metering which tends to wear out fairly quick. The reason they use brass is because it won't rust and is cheap. Here is an alternative, low cost stainless steel valve solution which will not rust and is more durable for sandblasting. Install this steel valve to blast for a much longer period of time which will reduce the number of frustrating times you have to stop what you are doing to replace it. Steel valves will save you time and money in the long run. Fits Harbor Freight, Clarke, Eastwood, and most garage style sandblaster brands with a standard 3/8" NPT fittings. If you need help figuring out which size you have, the outer diameter of the fittings should measure about 5/8" wide.

This is junk.
Trash. Blew out on the first use in my sandblaster with 200 grit silicon carbide. The stock harbor freight brass valve lasted longer. If I could leave a negative 5 star review I would. I bought it as a backup a while ago and didn't use it till recently so all I can do is leave a bad review at this point.

very nice casting and machining
very nice casting and machining, 3/8 NPT threads. I am using the valve as the throttle valve, not abrasive valve. The hole in the ball valve is less that 1/4 inch so I am not sure how it would work as an abrasive valve..

Steel is Better Than Brass
I have bad luck with brass valves on my abrasive blaster, the steel valves are far more durable.
