Not cut and a little too thin. Defective?
I gave it 3 stars as mine came uncut which I ordered this particular one because it showed cut in all the reviews and the advertisement. I have a big rectangle that I now have to figure out how to cut.I had to use a hair dryer to unroll and even that was a pain. Once unrolled, I just went over it several times with a hair dryer to get somewhat flat, then after a few days, it appeared to be fine.I expected it to be a little thicker. As you can see from the pic, my wheels tend to dig into it. I only weigh 220, not heavy by any means.I will keep it though. Already threw the box away and not worth the hassle. Maybe it's my stroke of bad luck I tend to have but definitely wouldn't recommend

Makes it easier to work from home
I needed this to work from home. Our company allowed us to bring our chairs from the office home. This was great for my back but not optimal with my Berber carpet. The mat lets me roll in and out from my desk easily. The only issue I have is that it wants to shift a bit toward the wall. A small matter only in the usability of it, though. As for unroll I it from the box, I put it out one night and it was flat the next morning.

... mats in my motorhome to protect carpeting from normal dirty foot traffic while camping
I am using chair mats in my motorhome to protect carpeting from normal dirty foot traffic while camping. I was able to cut the mat to the sizes I needed for hallway and kitchen areas by simply scoring the finished side with a razor blade knife and a straight edge (like cutting sheetrock) and bending it at the cut for a nice clean edge. Also, I am expecting a third mat to be delivered this week to protect more area and it was helpful to order the narrower size (30") for the hallway so I will not have to cut it. One thing about these mats is the unpleasant odor when new. I use a multi purpose spray cleaner (Satellite auto glass cleaner) on both sides to get rid of the smell. Wall Mart sells a very similar product, Tough Stuff (a multi- purpose auto mat cleaner), for about $1.50 which seems to have the same white foam spray and smells identical. These mats do not seem to discolor (dirt stains) and are holding up well.

So Bad I would give it negative if I could
It will not even un-roll. The plastic is so hard and it came with pieces shattered. The original box was so broken that they had to put it inside of new Amazon box to hide the damage. Even without the damage, there was no way I was going to be able to unroll and flatten it. Hard as a rock.. I wish I could give negative rating. This is the first product I have bought on amazon that was a complete waste of money

Reliable and A Must
The mat I received is a complete rectangle - no square coming out of one side. I used a hair dryer for maybe 10-15 minutes on the entire mat and laid heavy objects on the corners overnight to make sure it didn’t roll back up. Packaged well and has been great - doesn’t move on the carpet and is a perfect size for an an-home office.

Good luck!
While the pad is itself adequate for use, there is one small problem.Unrolling this mat is impossible without a lot of weights of some sort. The mat came rolled up about 6 inches in diameter. It is so stiff and has so much memory it took two of us to unroll and add books to keep it from rolling back up. I had about 30 hardcover books with some buckets of rocks to weight it down so it would not spring back into a roll.Took about a week before it lost enough memory for usage. It works but really hard to unroll.

Does the job
First off, my chair does not "glide easily over the mat" like the description states. Plus the dents in the mat that your chair WILL make is going to make it ooom-possible to glide anywhere.Aside from that, it's a pretty good mat and seems to do the job.I also want to say that I haven't had a problem with the mat sliding on the carpet like others have said. Nor was it hard to straighten out after being rolled up like some said. All I did was lay it flat and put chairs on it to hold it in place. It was ready to go the next day.
