Moto Z2 Play Case Bumper - Mod Compatible (Does not Work with Other Models Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z, Z Force, and Z-Play 1st gen) Ademite (Black/Clear)

After buying a Z2 moto & moto mods for my phone, bought again when buying Z2 moto for my wife.Z2 moto a great phone, but needs bump/ drop guard allowing 2nd battery for phone life & protection of camera. Both of us have dropped our phones on cement & tile floors. Bumper guard absorbs the restBattery absorbs part of energy when it fly's off protecting phone and camera.Only downside is sensitivity of off - restart button. When used to it W/ exception of some men's belt horizontal cases which can trigger a restart when sitting in a car W/ seatbelt. This much less an issue W/ vertical belt cases

I am on my 3rd bumper case by ADEMITE for my Moto z2 Play from sold by BlazedealsStore. The 1st bumper lasted for about 6 months. The 2nd bumper case lasted about one month. They both broke at the bottom of the bumper at the USB charging port opening where the weakest part of the bumper. (See previous reviewer’s pictures, my bumper broke at the same spot)I wish the material was a little more flexible or the bumper to be a little bigger to relieve the stress at the breaking spot. There are not many options for protection for those of us who want to use the Moto Mods. Great concept, but the bumper needs to be manufactured with better material.Incipio manufactured a great bumper but are always out of stock. Verizon sells another bumper but their black bumper has been out of stock for almost a year. They only have the white/clear bumper in stock. Why can’t we get a quality black bumper for those of us who use Moto Mods?

I really, really appreciate "bumper" style phone cases for their minimal design. Not only is it actually mandatory to fit moto mods on the Z2 Play (which this accomodates just fine), it in general permits airflow to help cool the phone. Almost all other cases fully cover the back of the phone in thick plastic, which insulates it absurdly and enables overheating. My one gripe is that in order to take the case off my phone I had to pull so forcibly that I almost peeled off an edge of the screen—yikes! Be careful when removing it.

In principle, it's a good design, but the plastic is not sturdy enough. It broke after ony a few months, at the point where the case has an opening for the charger plug. The plastic is very thin on either side and needs some kind of reinforcement to stand up to flexing. Sometimes I would reach into my pocket to pull out the phone and the case would slip off the phone. It also tended to pop off if the phone was dropped.

This bumper case for the Moto Z2 Play works great if you want to be able to attach most mods without removing it. The backs that add wireless charging and the decorative backs need to be notched at the bottom to fit with this. Look at your moto mods (like the JBL speaker) and you will see a notch at the end that is at the bottom of phone. That notch is required if you want to use the mod with the bumper on.

I have been through two of these edges cases already and they break everytime at the thin plastic edge that goes around the charging port. I end up using electrical tape to hold the two halves together so that the phone case will stay on. For $15, it is a little pricey for how long these cases last. They end up breaking after about 2 months of use.

This fit a Moto Z Play Droid but I had to use a hair dryer to soften it to get it on. Then my wife dropped the phone & the bumper broke. Ya, in the same place all the other reviews say it will break.Problem is, nothing else fits at all.So I'm giving it one star and will probably buy another one?

Not bad, better than metal case that was interupting the signal. But dose not let me plug in extended battery while connected to phone. Could have used a notch there, but all in all so far so good. Another option on the way maybe it be the right one
