Fit exactly as it should
Was told would be a good idea to replace the factory fuel pump spring assembly with the "blue upgrade kit" and after searching around on Amazon, I found this one as it seemed to be a good value for the money. It arrived quickly and I set to work on replacing what I thought would be the factory spring assembly but found out someone had already put the upgrade kit onto the truck. Since I had already gone that far in the operation, I went ahead and replaced it with the one I purchased. Everything fit as it should and went back together easy enough. After having the item in my truck for a good 6 months thus far, it's still going strong.

The new spring didn't fit deep enough in the new plunger
So as I said I couldn't get new spring inside new plunger so I took the seal off the new brass plunger and installed it on the old one and I got the new spring to seat all the way inside the plunger. Other than that, it was flawless. I changed all the o rings and all that, getting the air filter and the getting the intercooler pipe off and back on are the worst part of the job. It's very simple. I needed a 5/16" socket to remove air filter pipe from turbo, pliars to remove overflow hose from rad,11mm deepwell socket to remove both ends of intercooler pipe. 13/16 wrench for fuel line and 7/8 for fitting beside that. T27 torx socket and my swivel head ratchet. 25mm socket to remove fuel bowl cap if you need to. You could use a flathead screwdriver to remove air filter pipe and an adjustable wrench to get fuel line but you need the 7/8 box end to get the fitting beside that, the swivel head ratchet was required, 11mm deep well socket, the T27 torx and the 7/8 combination wrench are a must and a 24" pry bar is very helpful as well. Watch Diesel Tech Ron's YouTube video or Thorough bred diesel YouTube video and it takes twice as long to get to the fuel bowl as actually installing kit.

Perfect Upgrade for my 6.0
I just changed the injectors on my truck and wanted to make sure I gave them every advantage. This upgrade gives your injectors a little more fuel pressure.Parts were high quality. Super easy to install. Totally worth the value. Definitely do this if it's your truck. Too easy not to. Makes your truck perform just that little bit better.

Not bad for the price
Like a lot of people who bought this, I had to use the old housing because the nut that screws into the housing that the fuel line screws to would not thread in easy. I had to apply way to much torque to get it 3/4 of the way in. Said "screw that, I'll use the old housing". Willing to bet the mating surface is machined better on the OEM anyway. But that doesn't really matter. Used the new all new seals from kit and spring. Didn't bother changing that tiny piece of plastic that seems to break everytime someone tries to change it on YouTube. Also willing to bet it will make no difference if I changed it or not. New seals and spring are more important. 4 stars because the new housing is cheaply made. But for 20 bucks, don't really care. Use old housing, it will work just fine as long as it is not damaged.

Good upgrade/good fix
I had a leak on my fuel pressure regulator on the front of my fuel filter can. This was the recommended fix and cheaper than a lot of "cool looking" aftermarket options. I like cool, but cheaper won out. Package came with all the parts but with no instruction set. Fortunately, there are plenty of videos that step you through the process... installation was really, really easy. When you take yours apart, though, look at all the parts and connections carefully because some of the video's skip the plastic insert around the brass plunger and I can't figure out if it was a mistake in the video or they had a slightly different set up. I also had one spare o-ring left over... but I'm positive I put an equal number of parts back on that I took off, it works well, and it doesn't leak. Two thumbs up! :-)

Horrible workmanship on threaded parts
The threading for your fuel fitting is the worst I have ever seen. Fitting threaded in by hand easily until about half way. Then got so hard a wrench was required. Fitting began turning sideways as if cross threaded. Removed and I could see where the aluminum threads were jagged and unfinished. I had to reuse the old cover. Then I tried to use the new torx screws, only to find out their interiors were not machined out correctly, no torx bit of any size would fit, the original I used would almost go in, but not well enough to engage. The only thing that was "right" were the gaskets and the spring/plunger.

Great Kit!
IIMy truck was pouring fuel from under the plate that attaches to the fuel filter housing. The kit comes with everything you need. I watched a Youtube video, took my truck apart, replaced what I needed to and my truck runs Excellent. Better than it ever has. More pick up than it ever had, even before my fuel leak. It had to be the Upgrade to the Blue Spring. The spring is a little longer than the original with a real nice smooth "Blue " finish. I was a little concerned since it was a little longer but I'm glad I trusted this vendor. Even if my truck wasn't leaking fuel and I knew about this I would Upgrade to the Blue Spring Upgrade. It was well worth it. Thanks so much!! I wish I would've videoed it to show how easy it was but I didn't think of it. Next time! Thanks again.

The Housing is Poor Quality
The o-rings, spring, and plunger are ok. The housing is extremely poor quality. The threads in the fitting were not straight and the fitting would not thread in all the way. I reused the oem housing and it seems to be fine.

As advertised..but
The blue spring pictured in the ad, was in fact stainless steel. Regardless, the spring was the correct size and had flat end. This kit was complete and worked.I had ordered the "same" kit from a local car part store. The spring was "blue", but not flat on the ends. The o-rings didn't fit. These springs have to be flat on both ends in order to fit properly.
