I bought these for my daughter, but I think I've eaten more of them than she has. I had read reviews saying the flavors in the variety pack were unpredictable, but we received everything pictured in the description. And it was so well packaged by both the cute box it came in and by Amazon that none of the bars got squished in transit, which is pretty impressive given how soft some of the bars are. I'm not a big fan of having to try a product for the first time with such a large variety box, but I think this was a pleasant surprise. On to the flavors. So far, we've tried the chocolate brownie and the iced oatmeal cookie. Hands down, one of the best little bars I've ever tried. The iced oatmeal cookie is my favorite so far. You'd think you would want a glass of milk or something with it or that it would be really sweet, but it's really balanced. The regular energy bars are not crunchy at all. They're actually so soft that I'd feel comfortable feeding this to a younger child, maybe in the toddler range. That is definitely something that you'd have to judge for yourself though. I haven't tried the protein bars that came with it but they're much firmer from what I can tell by feeling them through the packaging. They're not incredibly large bars, either. But I find them really filling. The fruit twists look pretty good as well. My daughter says she likes them and that's good enough for me. The packaging it was shipped in is a cute little box. It's great to keep them stored in and it's definitely recyclable. The packaging for the bars themselves is not difficult for me to get into and I have arthritis, so it's reasonable to assume that most children would be able to open these themselves. I'd have to rate this overall as a 9/10. I wish that the bars had more nutrients, but the taste is definitely there and it's well thought out as far as portion and flavor variety. I also wish that there were an equal number of all the flavors. But that's a personal preference. It's a good starter kit for maybe a classroom snack box (if your school allows it) or even to send off with your college age kid. It just sort of bothers me that I paid almost a dollar per bar for this box. It's a little expensive for my taste, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

These were fun to check out the different varieties of Z bars that are available. I didn’t think that they cost too much and my kids enjoyed the variety. My husband loves to eat the oatmeal cookie ones almost daily and the kids sometimes get sick of those. I found the field wants to be a little bit of a disappointment as I was expecting a more gooey middle, but it tasted good despite the texture difference from what I was expecting. The kids love the fruit twists. Those are something that we wouldn’t typically buy due to gummy foods causing cavities but once in a while won’t hurt them. Our family really likes the Z bars that are the original blend and not the protein ones, although the protein ones are quite excellent. The reason we really like the original are because they do not crumble and you don’t get food all over the place so they are one of the few approved eating in the car foods that we have on long car trips and at church or any other place that we would have these snacks. The oatmeal cookie ones are the least messy because they don’t have any chocolate that will melt on fingers.

Love these! They are very soft,taste is great(Iced oatmeal is better than i thought) just wish they were alittle on the bigger size but for a child great size.I would Def Recommend these

My kids are obsessed with these bars! They taste great, provide some protien and I just feel all around better giving them one of these then any other granola bar. They’re the perfect on the go snack!

These bars are my kid’s favorite snack. The ingredients are better than most bar-type snacks, but I wish they had more protein (even the “protein” version only has 5 or so grams). What *I* love about them they can be kept in the car year-round. Even when frozen, the original ZBars are not too hard to chew - and in the summer, the protein version stays solid. I’m literally *never* without these bars in the mom-mobile. My newfound pro tip is to order these to be delivered when we go on vacation! Great for being out and about in a new environment with familiar, easy-to-carry snacks. This variety pack is fantastic - I never would have tried the fruit ropes. (Now a new staple in the treat department.)
