Brilliant invention but some improvements could be made
I have owned 5 of the larger version of this bowl (in cream colour) for 2 years, all are still going strong. They are a fab design. A sturdy bowl of 3 pieces - The base, the floating inside (with polystyrene) and the rim. They really do what they say - as long as you don't fill it too high it doesn't spill a drop - I carry all 5 of mine around in my van all day every day. They never tip. They are great for dogs who gulp down lots of water then get sick as they are unable to gulp, only lap. The reason I say things could be improved is, well, because they can. Firstly the outside of the bowl is a rough surface that draws dirt to it and holds onto it forever - I've not been able to find a product to wash it off! Secondly the colours they come in are so disgusting!! I chose this pink and the cream because other than the grey its all they had - there are no standard blacks, reds, royal blues.... just hideous pink, weird grey and gross cream! Thirdly, they provide you with little pads of Velcro to secure the bowl to the floor with, meaning you cannot move it from room to room/place to place and re-stick it, and also - Velcro - NEVER a good idea with dogs!! They just get hairs stuck to them! This product could do with a thin rubber rim around the base. Fourthly - the rims are really difficult to remove, making regular cleaning of the bowl a real chore! (But, making it very dog safe!) And fifth and finally - when full the bowl is almost painful to pick up as the hand holes are so uncomfortable!! But, as I say, overall I do rate this product highly. I bought this smaller size one for my new puppy to have in her crate.
