Better than San Pellegrino!
After San Pellegrino destroying their drinks (in my opinion) by removing sugar to protect their profits after the sugar tax, I was on the search for something better. The San Bennedetto Prima range is exactly what I was after. I actually prefer them in many respects and when I purchased these at £10.50 for 24, they worked out even cheaper too!I definitely recommend this if you are/were in the same position I was.I hope this review helps someone.

Not for me... or you too if you don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners
I bought this drink after San Pellegrino changed its recipe to bring it into line with the Sugar Tax. If you've landed here then you, like me, dislike the taste of artificial sweeteners and are looking for a 'replacement' for their Limonata. Also if you're here like me, you've read the other reviews and will likely buy this drink on the strength of the gushing praise of how San Benedetto is as near as you'll get to a direct replacement for the Limonata that was.(EDIT 25/2/19 These reviews offering a direct comparison seem to have mysteriously disappeared & I now have a lovely condescending response to my perfectly valid review disputing the 'like-for-like' nature of this product to San Pel)All I really have to say is that this is decidedly NOT a replacement for the sharp, tangy, juicy loveliness that was the original Limonata. I'd actually go so far to say that this has more of an artificial flavour than the reworked San Pel. Not only do you get a huge hit of that awful over-sweet flavour of the sucralose (the level of sweetness made me wince), but the lemon flavour is also severely lacking. Don't get me wrong it's just about palatable(ish) if you chug it whilst it's super cold, but once it starts to warm... bleugh!I had such high hopes too. But then we wouldn't be in this position if an already premium carbonated drink was left the way it was for responsible adults to choose whether or not they were willing to pay more for the pleasure of drinking it. I think most of us who love San Pel would be more than willing to pay a bit more to keep the original recipe.Based on trying both the 'new' Limonata and this San Benedetto I'd actually rather have the lower sugar San Pel over this - it's just too sickly sweet for me due to the Sucralose and doesn't have a sharp enough fruit taste to even remotely balance that out.

Perfect Balance
I love good quality lemonade and its all about balance between sweet, sour and a slight bitter bite. This does it perfectly. I love San Pellegrino Lemon for its sourness, but this has a rounder, sweeter finish that makes it spot on and refreshing.

Very Tasty!
Fell in love with all things Italian this year when visiting Tuscany. Italian lemonade tastier than English stuff by far and this is just great!
