The French Farm Fallot French Dijon Old Fashioned Grain Mustard in Stone Jar Crock 9 oz

Great addition to my pantry.
This is another great product in the Fallot line. While it is not as coarsely ground as some, this mustard had a deep smoky flavor, medium-mild heat, and is not overly salty. I have been pleased to use it for a mustard crust in roasts, Caesar salad, dressings, and as a spread for sandwiches. Adds a new dimension to each. I find it a bit overpowering for salmon, but there are lots of other choices for that. I ordered more as soon as I tasted it. I have used Pommery Moutarde Royale (mustard with cognac) for many years for similar purposes. The Fallot works equally well, but creates a deeper, smoky flavor. I will continue to use both.

Looking for something to complete you charcuterie plate?...
This French Dijon is good with dried meats and crackers and a white wine. I first got this flying back to the States from Lyon, FR and fell in love with it. I do like the stone ground one better rather than this course ground version. I feel that the taste is a bit stronger and more balanced but this one was good too! Highly recommend!

Better than any other grain mustard around
This is the best! Very grainy though for those of you on the fence. Reminds me of chilhood because my parents used to serve this more decades ago than I care to admit! Clearly a classic. I ordered it to replace the same stone crock of their smooth Dijon mustard a friend brought me back from France. That must be a European exclusive because I can't find their smooth Dijon in the crock anywhere.

A good grainy mustard
Not as strong as I anticipated, but very good. Not a Dijon but close. US made Grey Poupon Harvest Course Ground Dijon is a bit better. All a matter of individual taste.

The Best Mustard Available
We always order this mustard from Amazon. I have tried many gourmet mustards, and this is by far the best. Be sure to try Edmond Fallot's regular mustard too. It's nice to have both the smooth and the grain mustard in the cupboard. Life is too short not to use the best mustard on the market.

Beware - you won’t get Dijon mustard and cannot return it. $14 rip off.
I ordered Fallot DIJON mustard- as in the description and the picture. I got grain and can’t return it. Why Amazon, why? Why can’t you return something you received that doesn’t match the picture or description? I haven’t felt this ripped off since the time I received the worst rip off sunglasses ever - but at least I got my money back!

Four Stars
It was excellent but not mind-blowing, which for $30 per pound it should be.

Dijon Mustard
While in Dijon, France I learned that this Brand was an excellent mustard. Since I like good mustards I brought some home with me. After I finished my supply I found this on Amazon and bought it. It is delicious.
