I've been using this soap for about a week and I'm really pleased. It is natural and unscented; it has a mild olive oil scent when using it that disappears soon after rinsing. It leaves my skin feeling good and not dried out. I've even beem using it as a shampoo without conditioner with good results; my hair is clean and combs out well, neither dry nor oily. This is the same soap sold in smaller and more expensive bars under the same name. I received four individually packaged bars, a total of about 1 kg, more than 2 pounds, in great condition. The bars are too big to use individually, but they cut easily lengthwise and crosswise with a chef's knife without crumbling.

After searching all over my neck of the woods, Meijer, Target and Walmart, realized the only place I was going to get real Castile soap was online. If you have normal to moderately dry skin, this is not the soap for you. This stuff is strong because it's real soap, 5 ingredients. I have problematic mixed dry and oily skin which means lots of moisturizer. I use this soap only on my face as it acts like a chemical exfoliator; It removes everything from dirt, make up, moisturizer and dead skin all in one go leaving your skin smooth and clean. One bar of this stuff lasts me like 20 years. Have no idea how this works on normal skin, but if you have sensitive skin and want to exfoliate without exfoliating, give this stuff a try. Be warned however, It's real soap, not the chemical bomb moisturizer bars from your local big box store. For those who have never experienced real castile soap, particularly if you do not have soft water, make sure you have plenty of moisturizer for after.

Discovered this soap on a trip to Greece last year. What I like most is that it cleans well, has few ingredients, and has a satisfying lather, especially when used with a loofah. it does not leave my skin as dry as big brand soaps do, and I should also mention that I do not have sensitive skin so I cannot speak to its allergic effects on folks who do. The only drawback I can think of is that the scent may be a little off putting to people used to, or prefer richly scented soaps. It’s not a bad scent, but more of an earthy, natural oil-based scent, but one that does not linger on the skin like heavily scented soaps do. Just a natural, honest clean.

Wow, This Greek soap is amazing ..After your first use,your skin is so very soft.. Thank bar is big ,but with exfoliating gloves it does not fall from your hand.. I am so very happy to find a soap, that works great for atopic dermatitis..aka..eczema.. Absolutely wonderful. I read some use to wash hair..I will be trying this very soon.. Thank you ,for such a valued product..

The Soap itself is perfect and is ideal for very sensitive allergic skin. While it lathers adequately, you won’t find billows of lather with this soap because it doesn’t contain the coconut lathering derivatives present in almost every other soap on the market, even so called Castile soaps. The scent is best described as a clean soap like scent, neither off-putting or offensive. As someone who cannot tolerate fragrance in personal products, it was fine with me. Skin is left refreshed and clean without any itchiness or irritation. I’ve taken off one star from my review because the soap was banged up with corners chipped off because of rough handling and or delivery…a shame because it is a beautiful appearing bar of soap. Instead of using plastic bags, perhaps Amazon should deliver this fine soap in a box.

Wonderful on my dry skin, leaves a lovely clean and soft feel. No strong odor, no allergic reaction, yeah! Highly recommend!

I think this soap is underrated the quality is unreal wow I never thought I could find such a great product quality here the ladder is perfect it leaves your skin clean there's no sense which is great all natural ingredients

I make vegetable oil soap at home but have never made 100% olive oil soap as it is considered tricky to get to set properly. I cannot believe the price on this soap - one 8 oz, give or take, L'Occitane bar is $10 ($12 Canadian as I am currently residing here temporarily). Mondo terrific value. Speaking from experience as a soap maker, these bars are hard, which means they last a long time. They don't have added fragrance, which is a plus for me, as I don't generally add fragrance to my own soaps. It does have an odor, not unpleasant, and I'm clean smelling, soap smelling, after use. My son and father have contact dermatitis issues with some soaps so this is an ideal soap for sensitive skin, including I'd say infants, although my son is now an adult and I don't have a baby handy to give it a test. My husband complained that the bars get slimy in the soap dish if left in water (duh) and that they left his skin feeling slimy too. Translating into regular person speak, my skin feels moisturized and yes, a touch oily (olive oil - duh again) after use but in this ultra dry, overheated Canadian winter, moisturized is a big plus. And don't let the soap sit in water, tilt it in the dish or get a dish that drains. I use a washcloth lathered with soap, not the bare bar, so the size isn't particularly an issue for me. I think cutting it in half or thirds is a great idea for those who find the size too much to handle. You might find some green transfer to a washcloth, but I prefer a thinner, cheaper washcloth over a huge plush and expensive one any day and the green will generally wash out in the laundry. I've given my daughter a bar and will order some for her directly to her US address if she likes it. I think if we're not given the news that we're going home this summer, I'll order some sent to my parents' house for me to bring back. The delivery from Greece was slow but it arrived. I had some more expensive soap to burn through in the meantime. And my husband will use whatever I find at the big box of Wal.

المنتج ذو جوده عاليه و لا يحتوي اي روائح مضافه يوجد الكثير من التعليقات السلبيه حول رائحه المنتج على انها كرية. و الحقيقه ان رائحه المنتج تشبه نوعا ما رائحه دخان الحطب. و في الغالب ان هذه الرائحه يكتسبها المنتج خلال مرحله الطبخ فاذا كانت رائحه الدخان/الحطب لا تناسبك فهذا المنتج قد لا يناسبك

Excelente Qualität. Die beste Seife die ich je hatte. Sie reinigt ohne die Haut auszutrocknen, hat keinen künstlichen Duft oder andere Chemie. Ich bleibe bei der Seife.
